We’re aiming even higher. We’re already helping our customers achieve their sustainability goals and contributing to the Green Transition. But we’re not stopping there. As the only paints and coatings company, we joined the Nordic Circular Design Programme (NCDP) to explore specific, practical ways to implement circularity in our industry. Trevor Fielding, Thomas Palm and Anne Mette Oddsen participated in the NCDP event this week. In our industry, sustainability covers many aspects, and durability is one of them. We aim to create products that last longer, use less energy and generate fewer emissions. With the new program we are diving even deeper into the possibilities of design optimization, recycled materials, waste reduction and product reuse. They left the event inspired, with fresh ideas to support their customers' sustainable efforts in the future.

This is how the change happens. On Tuesday we held the first workshop of the Nordic Circular Design Programme for 31 companies. Executive track workshop was run by Ethica Finland and focused on the market changes and EU regulation. The R&D track workshop was by DDC – Danish Design Center focusing on circular product design strategies. On Wednesday we held the last workshop of the Estonian Circular Design Masterclass for 10 companies together with BDA Consulting, EIS and 10 Estonian Design Leads. I got to experience how the mindsets start shifting. What previously was unknown or seemed impossible, starts making business sense. This is how the change happens.
