Merkittäviä yhteistyökumppanuuksia! 🌲🤝 Pölkky Oy ja Kuopion Energia Oy ovat solmineet huomattavan sopimuksen teollisuuden sivutuotteiden sekä puuhakkeen toimittamisesta. Sopimuksen mukainen polttoainemäärä on yli 10 % Haapaniemen voimalaitoksen käyttämistä polttoaineista. Ukrainassa käytävän sodan aikana biopolttoaineiden saatavuus on kiristynyt ja hankinta on pirstaloitunut aiempaa useammille toimittajille. Kuopion Energia Oy:n polttoainehankintaa saadaan keskitettyä nyt solmitun viisivuotisen sopimuksen avulla. Pölkky Oy on uusi yhteistyökumppani Kuopion Energialle. Sopimus tuo vakautta ja kustannustehokkuutta 📈   Pölkky Oy toimittaa teollisuuden sivutuotteita (mm. puru, kuori) sekä selluntuotantoon kelpaamatonta kokopuu- ja rankahaketta 1.4.2025 alkaen.   - Huomattavan toimitusmäärän pitkäaikainen sopimus tuo vakautta ja ennustettavuutta polttoaineiden hankintaamme. Hankintaa voi tehdä pitkäjänteisemmin, kun polttoainetoimitukset on turvattu isoilla erillä, toteaa Kuopion Energia Oy.n toimitusjohtaja Esa Lindholm. - Pölkyn tavoitteena oli löytää sivutuotteille käyttäjä, joka pystyy ottamaan prosessista syntyviä jakeita tasaisesti vastaan merkittävissä määrin ympärivuoden. Molempien osapuolten tavoitteiden ollessa muutoinkin yhteneväiset, syntyi nopeasti pohja pitkän ja kestävän yhteistyön rakentamiselle, toteaa Pölkky Oy:n metsäjohtaja Jani Jaakkola. Sopimus tukee osaltaan tavoitetta, jonka mukaan Kuopion Energia irtaantuu turpeesta viimeistään vuoteen 2030 mennessä.  // Major partnerships! 🌲🤝 Pölkky Oy and Kuopion Energia Oy have signed a major contract for the supply of industrial by-products and wood chips. The volume of fuel covered by the contract represents more than 10% of the fuel used by the Haapaniemi power plant. During the war in Ukraine, the availability of biofuels has become tighter and the supply has become fragmented among several suppliers. Kuopion Energia Oy's fuel supply will be centralised through the five-year contract now signed. Pölkky Oy is a new partner for Kuopion Energia. Pölkky Oy will supply industrial by-products (e.g. chips, bark) and whole wood and hardwood chips unsuitable for pulp production from 1 April 2025. - The long-term contract for a significant volume of supplies will bring stability and predictability to our fuel supply. Purchasing can be more long-term when fuel supplies are secured in large batches," says Esa Lindholm, Managing Director of Kuopion Energia Oy. - Pölky's aim was to find a user for the by-products that could take a steady supply of the fractions generated by the process in significant quantities all year round. As both parties' objectives were otherwise in line, the basis for building a long-term and sustainable cooperation was quickly established, says Jani Jaakkola, Forestry Director of Pölkky Oy. The agreement contributes to Kuopio Energia's goal of moving away from peat by 2030 at the latest.
