We started this week the same way we ended the last one 🥳 Today we had cake and celebrated Miika's 15-year journey at Codemate. When Miika Toljamo was 12, his father brought home their first computer. Miika quickly became fascinated with how it worked, regularly breaking and fixing it to explore its possibilities. Fast forward a few years, and he’s now a senior partner and business director at Codemate. Although Miika once considered becoming an architect, fortunately for us, he chose IT instead. While still studying, he freelanced and developed the mobile game Sheep Rescue 🐑(which got about 50k downloads back in the days!). Miika recognised that he had some talented classmates, and was ready to “headhunt” them into the IT-companies. Codemate accepted his offer, and soon Miika interviewed his friends and got them to work. At the same time he made strong connections with Codemate, soon secured an internship, and shortly after, signed his first employment contract 📝 Starting as a software engineer, Miika quickly took on more project responsibilities, excelling in communication with both developers and clients - a skill that now defines his role. Codemate has retained Miika all these years by offering continuous growth opportunities. Miika played a key role in scaling the Helsinki office and now leads operations at Rebel App Studio by Codemate, while also working with international clients and maintaining ties with the Fusion Ecosystem. We want to thank Miika for his dedication and look forward to another 15 years of success together! 🥂 One pic is a blast from the past, other one from today...
