We’re trying to figure out how to make this post exciting now that Slush is over. So, we decided to use this extremely candid picture from a past session on Slush Online. Why? 1,600 volunteers worked hard on making Slush 2024 possible. From helping customers on the ground at Info Points to printing out badges, from interviewing attendees for social media to ensuring everything gets recycled correctly, these volunteers were part of dozens of teams behind-the-scenes creating the Slush Magic we all felt last week. In a dark, small room in a corner of Messukeskus, the Slush Team has just celebrated the end of Slush 2024 with our annual “we did it” gathering. Creating an event that consistently surpasses the experience of the previous year is an immense task, but a challenge we accept every year. As students and recent graduates, this serves as one of the first major career milestones for many people in our team. As a not-for-profit that creates the “most founder-focused event on earth”, we’ve pushed ourselves to truly understand what founders really need and how we can grow as people to exceed this promise. In the months leading up to the event, we have poured ourselves into every task we touch. Now, after just two days, it’s all over. Thank you for joining us for Slush 2024. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

We’re wrapping up Day 2 at Slush, but the fun is far from over. Here’s a quick rundown of some highlights: 🐛 OASYS NOW won the 1 million euro prize of Slush 100 🐸 There were stage talks on everything from scaling Web3 post-hype to the dos and don’ts of M&A 💚 Thousands of meetings and the last few hundred Side Events took place At this point, you might be wondering: what’s next? Well, it’s none other than the glorious Slush Afterparty 🕺💃 We’ve got a Startup Roast Comedy Show to kick things off, DJs like Justin Kan (co-founder of Twitch) taking the stage, a little bit of “every time we touch” with Cascada, and some of Finland’s biggest pop stars for the full Finland experience to wrap everything up.
