📣 Call for Poster Abstracts - European Bioeconomy Scientific Forum 2025 📣 The European Bioeconomy Scientific Forum (EBSF) is the official biannual event of all European Bioeconomy University Alliance’s (EBU) representatives. The EBSF2025 (11th-13th June 2025 in Joensuu, Finland) now invites abstracts for Poster Presentations. Along the lines of the theme of the Forum, “Boosting regional and international bioeconomy collaboration and skills”, the contributed posters are expected to shed light on the various successful and forerunner examples of bioeconomy partnerships and competence enhancements. The contributions may contain but are not restricted to multi-scalar networks, cross-disciplinary or cross- sectoral projects, multi-stakeholder innovation processes, academia-industry interactions, teaching and learning initiatives, and student-centred approaches. We encourage early-stage researchers (Doctoral and Postdoctoral Researchers) to submit poster abstracts. Authors of accepted abstracts will be instructed to prepare posters, which will be exhibited and presented in EBSF’s special session dedicated to posters, featuring poster pitch talks. Best poster awards will be delivered, and electronic versions of all contributed abstracts will be published on the Forum’s section at the European Bioeconomy University’s website. Tänään juhlistimme Forest Joensuu -yhteisölle 22.11.2024 myönnettyä Tasavallan Presidentin kansainvälistymispalkintoa. University of Eastern Finland metsätieteiden osastolla on keskeinen rooli Forest Joensuun toiminnassa, yhdessä alueen yritys- ja yhteistyöverkoston kanssa. Metsätieteiden osasto on pitkäjänteisesti kehittänyt kansainvälistä toimintaansa niin tutkimuksessa ja koulutuksessa sekä yritysyhteistyössä ja innovaatioitoiminnassa. Vuonna 2024 valmistuneista maistereista noin 60 % oli kansainvälisiä opiskelijoita, tohtoreista 70 %. 👏 Vahva kansainvälisyys on samalla vahvaa alueellista vaikuttavuutta. Vaikka en olekaan suoraan mukana alan arjen työssä, on ilo olla osallisena yhteisessä Forest Joensuu -ilottelussa ja poseerata oikeiden tulosten tekijöiden Jouni Pykäläinen ja Jukka Tkkanen kera.
