A tip from a friend can lead to extraordinary things! Just ask Oskari, our Purchasing trainee. 😉 Yes, he actually got a tip from a friend to apply to Airbus, and here he is, over 1.5 years later — happily sharing his experiences! 💬 “In hindsight it was probably the best tip I’ve ever received.” 💬 “I was looking for an opportunity to combine my studies and to get real-life experience on supply chain management and to see how everything works in practice.” 💬 “Additionally I wanted to experience an international working environment”, Oskari says. Sounds like a winning combination! Of course, in the beginning it’s not all smooth sailing when everything is new and you just try to take in as much as you can. But Oskari says the support from his colleagues has been incredible, helping him every step of the way. 🐾 💬 “Firstly I had no previous experience with SAP so that was definitely a part where my colleague and team members Elsa H. and Mark V. taught and supported throughout my first year.” 💬 “Also the product portfolio we have is so vast so I got plenty of support from my manager Soila Bonner and fellow-buyer Pirjo Saarinen.” 💙 And finally, if you had to pick just one lesson from your trainee journey so far, what would it be? 💬 “That’s a tough one! Probably the most significant being the power of collaboration. When you are surrounded by such skilled colleagues the potential and output of the team really becomes greater than the sum of its parts.” Does this resonate with you?
