A Fiji island paradise surrounded by golden sandy beaches, abundant coral reefs, swaying coconut palms and azure seas.

About us

An idyllic Fiji island paradise where you can escape the stress of modern living and relax amongst golden sandy beaches, abundant coral reefs, swaying coconut palms and azure seas. Malolo is an intimate, rustic resort built in the character of Fiji’s Colonial past with grand designs interspersed amongst South Pacific beach cottage style. It’s about a bure near the beach, surrounded by the world’s friendliest people with a living and authentic culture. You will be served by the descendants of villagers who have lived there for thousands of years, offering true Fijian hospitality. Perfect for families and couples alike, at Malolo, you can fill your day with a myriad of activities or simply unwind and do nothing at all. 100% owned by a local Fijian family, Malolo is all about reconnecting with family and friends without the distractions of “mod-cons”. Just the sounds of the coconut trees swaying and the ocean lapping the shore, under the bluest of skies by day and a blanket of stars by night. We believe, Malolo is the way the world should be.

We always enjoy a great read through Pacific Island Living's Wedding edition, and we were excited to share some of our favorite weddings and vendors in the Fiji section this year. The magazine is now available in New Zealand, Australia, online, and at many popular resorts in Fiji. A heartfelt vinaka to all the vendors who agreed to be included in our directory, to Swift & Click Photography for the cover, and to Poppyseed Design for the vendor creatives. • Today we blaze another trail with the launch of our Resort App - hot on the heels of our sister property Likuliku Lagoon Resort. Our guests can now begin their Malolo experience before they even arrive and plan their visit and activities straight from their devices. Guests will be encouraged to use the App ahead of their stay to build their activity itinerary, so they don’t miss out on any of the incredible experiences on offer. Online check-in through the App is also available prior to arrival for a seamless welcome experience. Guests can also use the App during their stay as the perfect travel companion. They will see what’s on every day, get some fantastic inspiration from the list of experiences and even make dinner and spa reservations – all from the comfort of their beach or pool lounges, and individual itineraries are always accessible to see what adventures have been planned.  To ensure guests can have instant access to the App whilst at the resort, we have just undergone a FJD$1M tech upgrade installing free WiFi in all guest bures/rooms, whilst enhancing and expanding the existing free hotspots in the public areas.  Malolo has also recently undergone additional major upgrades and additions including: a brand new FJD$1.5M Pure Fiji spa; upgrading the Arrival Bure with stylish new furniture as well as new beach, pool and Beach Bar furniture; a forthcoming roll-out of espresso coffee machines in all bures; and the ongoing enhancement of the grounds and gardens including a new sea wall. The Malolo Resort App can be downloaded from both the Google Play and Apple App stores now.

  • We continue to upgrade and move forward! Welcome to our brand new spa! Yesterday we officially opened the new FJD$1.5M "Leilani's Spa". We are proudly 100% Fijian family owned – part of the 50 year old Rosie Travel Group, so it was only fitting that matriarch Rosie Whitton herself was there to do the opening honours, along with resort owners Tony & Brigid Whitton, and Rosie’s daughter and namesake, Rose Whitton Cavu. "Leilani's Spa" is proudly a Pure Fiji spa - also a Fijian company, whose products are all locally made right here in Fiji using ancient, indigenous healing plants and seeds that have been used by generations of Fijians for hundreds of years – some of which can be found on Malolo Island. The new Spa boasts 3 beautiful treatment rooms with private bathrooms and outdoor decks - all featuring a luxurious deep-set stone "jungle" bath - and with views overlooking the luscious rainforest. We look forward to welcoming you for an experience of restoration, rejuvenation and relaxation. The new Spa menu can be found here: https://bit.ly/43Z7UiM

It was on this day in 1974. Roy and Rosie Whitton armed with a belief that tourism had the power to improve the social and economic well-being of every Fijian, founded a small tour company with two employees. 50 years later the company provides jobs to over 600 Fijians operating award winning brands Rosie Holidays , Rosie Events, Rosie Outsourcing Rosie Outsourcing Fiji, Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Malolo Island Resort, Mociu Private Island and Ahura Resorts Conservation Foundation. We celebrated the day coming to work in 70’s attire with the theme A-groovy-kind-of-love. To mark this day, our matriarch Rosie Whitton officially opened our Rosie Gallery at our Head Office in Nadi, with a number of employees that were part of the organization in the early years. An exhibition of the 50 year journey of our family business with photographic images, press clippings and TV interviews starting from the 70’s. Guided by the principals of our founders we look forward to the next 50 years marked by innovation and excellence.
