Hi,
we are currently using Orin NX (8GB) with SSD on Jetpack 6 (R36.3). We are looking to upgrade the firmware using OTA. We came across link which is used for upgrading from R35.5.0 to R36.3.0. where as in our case we need to update the firmware from R36.3.0 (Base image) to R36.3.0 (with changes). Please let us know how it can be acheived.

Thanks,
Jai

hello jaivishnu.m,

may I confirm which firmware binary you’re going to update remotely?
what’s your target’s authentication status? for instance, did you burn fuses to enable Jetson security?

Hi JerryChang,

Thanks for the reply.

may I confirm which firmware binary you’re going to update remotely?

To put it in simpler words, we are trying to update the Jetson device running with Jetpack 6 with a custom image changes on kernel and rootfs in the same Jetpack with OTA upgrade.

what’s your target’s authentication status? for instance, did you burn fuses to enable Jetson security?

we are not doing secure boot at the moment. hence, no changes were done to the fuses.

Please let us know how to do a OTA for Jetson device with same Jetpack version.

Thanks,
Jai

please refer to developer guide, Updating Jetson Linux with Image-Based Over-the-Air Update.

Hi @jaivishnu.m,

You can follow the same procedure shown in the link you came across Preparing for an Image-Based OTA Update. The procedure is the same, just make sure that the changes are in the rootfs of the new payload.

I hope this helps!
