While managing a construction project once, delays become a pattern. I initiated regular check-ins to understand individual challenges & provided support where needed. Additionally, I set up a transparent progress tracking system to measure everyone's impact on schedule. By recognizing and celebrating small wins and milestones, I boosted morale and accountability. This approach not only improved punctuality but also fostered a collaborative spirit. The team became more engaged and committed to meeting deadlines, knowing their efforts were visible, valued and crucial to the project’s success.

Non monetory rewards can be a great motivator for short term goals, but I believe it is extremely important to ensure the teams clarity about the task identity and task significance in the long run. Motivation can be a big factor in employee performance. I believe setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time bound) goals and transparency in the team ensures clear task identity and effective communication.

The best to do is knowing the true how to engage them. The best to do is to enage them always on what they need to know and give them great strategies on how they can carry out those tasks effectively. You don't become a boss alone learn to be like them and engage them. I am pretty sure with this, they will feel at home and do the right thing. Remember should at time will not solve anything at all.
