One small mistake in a laboratory = thousands of lives at risk because... We often talk about revolutionary innovations in healthcare, revolutionary treatments... But without a perfectly controlled environment, none of this would be possible. Marie Heneaux, quality consultant, is at the heart of a project where every parameter must be precisely calibrated to ensure the production of essential medicines. In a sector where regulatory requirements are becoming stricter and production demands are accelerating, equipment qualification is no longer just a necessity. It is a strategic advantage! 💡 Optimising processes and anticipating challenges not only ensures the continuity of operations, but also strengthens collaboration between technical, quality and production teams. The aim is to increase industrial capacity while maintaining scientific rigour. At ABYLSEN, our consultants don't just follow a checklist. They anticipate, question and optimise so that technology and human expertise progress together without friction.

Why do 90% of industrial projects fail before they even get off the ground? As Lino LASAK will tell you, delivering a machine in industry is not just a matter of assembling parts. It is a real engineering challenge where every detail counts. You must realise that in critical sectors such as nuclear or petrochemicals, each project must meet unique constraints: strict standards, complex environment, maximum safety requirements, etc., and all this with deadlines and costs under control. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 is the answer to these challenges. There is no standardised solution here. Each machine is custom-designed, integrated into an existing ecosystem and designed to guarantee reliability and performance. But the success of such a project is much more than a question of technology. Design offices, suppliers, production, installation and commissioning must all be aligned without creating a break in the value chain. If just one link weakens, the whole project can be compromised.

Equality in science, everyone's battle! Let's take a look at the expertise and career of Aurélie Goujon, consultant and project manager at Abylsen. A specialist in project management in healthcare and technological innovation, she has made her mark in a sector that is still predominantly male.   A multidisciplinary scientific background With a dual background in human sciences and artificial intelligence, Aurélie wrote her thesis on the detection of facial expressions using AI, a subject combining research, innovation and technology. Today, she leads scientific projects, particularly in the field of health.   Her view on the development of women in science 👩🏻🔬 "In the sciences, and even more so in AI and IT, women are still under-represented. Yet our presence is essential to diversify approaches and combat bias in research and technology."   Aurélie is committed to encouraging young girls to take the path of these careers, notably by speaking at secondary schools via initiatives such as IP Solidaire and ElleStime collective. Why is it essential to have more women in science? → To create inspirational role models for future generations → To encourage diversity of ideas and approaches → To combat the stereotypes that hinder women's access to these professions.  Abylsen is proud to have employees who are committed to a fairer future.

Beneath the surface: The unseen challenges of subsea engineering 🌊 When we think about infrastructure, it’s easy to imagine roads, bridges, and skyscrapers. But what about the critical systems operating thousands of meters below the sea, where crushing pressures, freezing temperatures, and unpredictable currents are a daily reality? That’s the world of subsea engineering, a field where technical excellence meets the ultimate test of resilience. Subsea engineers like Keerthi Kavali play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of these operations. Their work revolves around designing and analyzing infrastructure that doesn’t just function but thrives in extreme environments for decades. Subsea pipelines and mechanical systems are exposed to immense hydrostatic pressure, reaching over 1000 times the pressure at sea level. Every weld, every material choice, and every connection must be meticulously planned to withstand these forces without compromise. From Arctic waters to hydrothermal regions, subsea components must endure extreme temperature variations. Advanced materials like high-strength alloys or composite coatings are often selected to prevent fatigue or thermal cracking. Underwater currents, wave motion, and even seismic activity create dynamic stresses. Components like risers (the vertical pipes connecting platforms to seabed systems) are engineered to maintain flexibility while withstanding constant movement. Subsea engineering is not just about placing pipelines underwater. It’s about: 1️⃣ Minimizing Risks: Failures in subsea systems can have catastrophic environmental and financial consequences. Engineers work tirelessly to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity. 2️⃣ Reducing Costs: Designing systems that last decades means fewer replacements and interventions, resulting in significant cost savings. 3️⃣ Sustainability: As the world transitions to greener energy, subsea technologies are being adapted for offshore wind farms and other renewable solutions. This is the essence of Keerthi’s expertise.
