We had the honor of welcoming Nathalie Delattre, France's Delegate Minister for Tourism, to Pullman Hotels & Resorts Paris Bercy to celebrate 20 years of the Handicap Law in France and reaffirm our commitments to inclusive tourism. Alongside Jean-Jacques Morin, Anne-Sophie Beraud, Paralympic champions Ryadh Sallem and Hakim AREZKI, and many dedicated team members, we shared our vision and initiatives for a more accessible hospitality industry. Our key commitments: - Training: Raising awareness among our teams through dedicated e-learning programs. - Tourisme & Handicap Label: With more than 400 “Tourisme & Handicap” certified hotels in France, we aim to expand this initiative worldwide. - Innovations: Developing new solutions to enhance guest experiences for people with disabilities. We discussed the concrete accessibility initiatives at Pullman Paris Bercy, including adapted signage and audio beacons, reception desk equipment, the Oto chair, Smart Room features, and innovative technology solutions in partnership with OOrion and Evelity—all designed to ensure hospitality for all. A highlight of the visit was the donation of 50 universal remote controls to the Association Valentin Haüy, reinforcing our commitment to empowering people with disabilities. This visit was a powerful reminder of the importance of accessibility in hospitality and tourism. A huge thank you to all our partners for collaborating with us to make tourism more inclusive!

"My passion for cooking was instilled in me by my mother. She was my role model, teaching me patience and trust in the kitchen. At just 17, I began my culinary journey while still in high school, unaware of where life would take me. After graduation, I worked in the kitchens of several restaurants, gaining valuable experience. In 2006, I took my first step into the hospitality industry, working in the kitchen of a four-star hotel. Two years later, I joined what was then the Royal Hotel - now Mercure - where I’ve been fortunate to grow and evolve ever since," says Ionela Constantin on how she started her journey within the industry. Accor is highlighting Heartists® within our group as we believe “Hospitality is a work of heart.” 💙 This week, we are in conversation with Ionela from Mercure Bucharest Unirii . "Hospitality is about making people feel welcome. That’s what I truly enjoy—seeing guests appreciate the results of our hard work and dedication. Over the years, I’ve worked my way through every stage of the kitchen, developing my skills and leadership. Becoming Executive Chef was a proud moment for me, as was receiving recognition from my colleagues and guests - especially for my pastries, like my amandine, which many say is the best they’ve ever had. More than anything, I take pride in being part of a team that feels like family, where we support each other to create exceptional experiences," adds Ionela.
