On the occasion of the Saudi-France Investment Forum 2024 in Riyadh, Air France-KLM announced its plan to expand its footprint in Saudi Arabia, with the upcoming launch of a new service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Riyadh Airports, operated by Air France, during the summer of 2025. This announcement was made in the presence of Deputy Minister of Tourism for International Affairs Sultan AlMusallam. It comes a few days before Transavia, the low-cost arm of Air France-KLM launches services to Jeddah from Paris-Orly and Lyon. With these new services, supported by the Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP) | برنامج الربط الجوي, all three airlines of the #AirFranceKLM Group (#AirFrance, #KLM and #Transavia) will be serving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines already flies to Riyadh and Dammam. The #AirFranceKLM Group & SAUDI AIRLINES, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, today signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) that lays the foundation for a strengthened cooperation in the fields of passenger transport and aircraft maintenance. The signing took place at the Saudia French Investment Forum in Riyadh, (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), in the presence of Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic. Operating income was however significantly impacted by the Paris Olympics Games, affecting Air France Group. On 30 October 2024, at the APEX/IFSA #GlobalEXPO 2024 ceremony held in Long Beach, California (USA), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was awarded World Class Award and Air France certified as a 5-star airline for several year running. At the ceremony, our #AirFranceKLM CEO Benjamin Smith also received the CEO Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating his actions, dedication and impact on the air transport industry.

The Air France-KLM Group has signed an agreement with TotalEnergies for the supply of up to 1.5 million tons of more sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to the Group’s airlines over a 10-year period, until 2035. This agreement marks one the largest SAF purchase contracts signed by #AirFranceKLM to date, and is another step towards the incorporation of at least 10% of more sustainable aviation fuel on all its flights by 2030. Already the world’s first user of SAF in 2022 and 2023, Air France-KLM continues to support the development of SAF production capabilities in France and Europe. https://lnkd.in/eP4v_KwM

A warm “welcome to the family” to KLM's very first A321neo. This first delivery marks a new stage in our fleet renewal program, the first lever to reduce CO2 and noise emissions. The A320neo family is now in operation at #KLM, #Transavia France and Transavia Netherlands.

#AirFranceKLM today announced that it has successfully completed the acquisition of a 19.9% non-controlling stake in the share capital of SAS - Scandinavian Airlines.  This investment is a component of Air France-KLM's strategic roadmap. It was already considered in the Group’s financial trajectory for the year 2024 and has no impact on its medium-term outlook.   Our CEO Benjamin Smith, said: “We are pleased to have completed this strategic transaction. SAS will enhance the Group’s footprint in the Scandinavian markets.
