Flying Future Technologies Today
À propos
At Airbus UpNext, we explore technology for sustainable, autonomous and connected applications in flight. By doing so, we are actively shaping the future of the aerospace industry. We use demonstrators as the principal means of evaluating, maturing and validating new radical technological breakthroughs. We not only integrate and test the technology but help shape the foundations for infrastructure and flight regulations, enabling Airbus in its aim for a better-connected, safer and more prosperous world. Our mission is: • To identify the trends that could disrupt the future of the aerospace industry and evaluate them to demonstrate their potential as a viable product • To accelerate traditional research cycles and prototype development to achieve proof of concept in a real environment and at a convincing scale and speed • To develop real-world applications for emerging aerospace technologies, thereby driving their maturity and increasing their value. We aim to inspire the industry, hire world-class talent and engage with the ecosystem around these new technologies! #AirbusUpNext

When partnership meets purpose, progress happens. I was delighted to take the stage at CES in Las Vegas, along with Ed Bastian and Sinead Bovell, to announce the latest partnerships with Delta Air Lines that will shape the next 100 years of travel. At Airbus, we believe collaboration is key to transforming our industry. This week, we revealed three major milestones in our long-standing partnership with Delta: 1️⃣ Scaling Renewable Fuel Production: Joining the Minnesota Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Hub is a vital step in reducing emissions across the aviation sector and an opportunity to strengthen energy security and drive economic growth. 2️⃣ Airbus UpNext collaboration: On early-stage technology to advance the future of aviation by exploring wing performance, fuel efficiency, superconductivity and advanced aircraft assistance. 3️⃣ fello’fly Project: Where Delta will apply the principles of bird migration to achieve smarter, more efficient flight. These initiatives allow Airbus and Delta to join forces with bold ideas and clear ambitions to drive real progress for our industry and future generations. Thank you Delta for 100 years of leadership and for partnering with us to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Facta, non verba. Let’s keep delivering. 👉 Here is the link to the replay: https://lnkd.in/eF9uEADC 👉 Here is the link to the press release: https://lnkd.in/eAf9vtWi #CES2025 #Innovation #FutureOfAviation #Delta #Partnership #StrongerTogether
