[AKROCEAN in SOUTH KOREA] 🌏🌊A wind and metocean measurement campaign! 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗼. 𝗹𝘁𝗱 and AKROCEAN worked together to deploy 2 floating LiDARs off Sinan County (south-western South Korea). We're thrilled to be taking part in the offshore wind industry in South Korea with this new project!⚡️ ➡️First stage: Offshore calibration. The units stayed at sea for 2 months next to the met mast operated by TÜV SÜD! TÜV SÜD compared the wind data collected by our floating LiDARs and their offshore met mast. Our floating LiDARs have reached the best practices level to be ready for project deployment.   ➡️Second stage: The official launch of campaign. A wind and metocean measurement campaign that will last 1 year to assess the site's characteristics.  ➡️Lich Tran, our Project Manager in Asia-Pacific, was coordinating this successful deployment "We are privileged to be part of South Korea wind energy panorama, as always we are bringing our best efforts to warrant a successful LiDAR measurement campaign and looking forward to many more future cooperations."  #offshorewind #SouthKorea #FloatingLiDAR #renewableenergy

Reflecting on the Research & Innovation Poster Awards - Seanergy 2024 During Seanergy 2024, we celebrated the remarkable achievements of researchers in the fields related to offshore renewable energy during the Research Poster Awards! This year was especially significant as, for the first time, four women won the 4 awards, showcasing gender parity progress in the industry. A dedicated area at the heart of the exhibition was reserved for showcasing the 42 selected posters, providing all participants the opportunity to discover and enjoy the latest research advancements. Posters competed for the Research & Innovation Awards, including four prizes: Best Poster, Jury's Favorites, and Participants' Choice (via an online vote during Seanergy). All posters were meticulously reviewed by our esteemed jury: Benoit Augier, Stephane Bertholin, Emer Dennehy PhD, Dominique FOLLUT, Herveline Gaborieau, and Boris Teillant. The four winners received their trophies from Francois De Rugy, Co-Chairman of the Energy Transition Group at Alantra and former French Minister for the Ecological Transition.
