ASC Barrels was created to start a new era of cask (NEOC®️) for the wine, beer, and spirit industry based on the great potential in used barrels. Used barrels were diamonds in the rough - unconsidered, misunderstood, mistreated and unrevealed by many producers. This is when the idea of a high-quality refurbished barrel made of premium used barrels and a high standard process was born. Thanks to its past life experience and education, our barrels provide their new users with an innovative and ecologically-responsible way to mature their products.
The fundamental principle of ASC Barrels’ philosophy is close collaboration and attentiveness to our client's wishes and needs. This allows us to tailor our barrels to their specific needs for their unique signature. Building on this virtuous feedback loop, we have developed an expertise which allows us to advise our clients on using and maintaining their barrels.

Great Joy to share in Ville de Biarritz at 2024 Waves of Change Forum x Rencontre des Décideurs Greentech de l’Ecolab - Greentech Innovation. Thank mille to EuroQuity - Bpifrance and Waves of Change Coalition for such a passionate moment. ASC Barrels won the award of Waste Management at 2024’ edition of the #TidelineStartupChallenge!. Great opportunity to celebrate 10 years anniversary of NEOC®️ upcycled barrel and the birth of ascend®️, the community of the Masters of Barrels based in Biarritz. 10 years of intense communication worldwide to inspire the new wave of premium drinks industry to age their wine, beer and whiskies in upcycled French oak barrels and to share on sustainable practises. More than anything else we are very proud to go home in the Basque Country, where everything started. After a 25 years odyssey, it is time for Alexandre Sakon, aka the crazyfrenchman, to settle and to build here ascend house, a place to share and enjoy entrepreneurial and family great lifes.
