Protecting the Khulan, wildlife and their habitat in Mongolia: for people and wildlife to thrive and coexist in harmony

À propos

We are the first and only non-profit conservation organization in the world with a mission focused solely on conserving the threatened Mongolian Wild Ass/Khulan (subspecies of the Asiatic Wild Ass) in Mongolia. Our work focuses on protecting this threatened species as an umbrella species of the Gobi Desert ecosystem, therefore also enhancing protection of other Gobi species and their habitat. Our activities are centered on partnering with local protected areas' administration and the local communities of our project's area(s) with a goal to reach and maintain a harmonious and sustainable Human-wildlife coexistence and lead to people and wildlife to thrive and coexist in shared and preserved landscapes. We work in Mongolia's Gobi Desert since 2008, including the southeast region of the Gobi Desert where the population of the Mongolian Wild Ass/Khulan is the largest in Mongolia. Our conservation organization is registered in France.
