We were honored to welcome Chinese Ambassador Gong Tao and his delegation to Disznoko - Tokaj! Their visit allowed us to share the legacy of Tokaji wines, from the art of aszú grape harvesting to the stories behind our vineyards. Ambassador Gong Tao appreciated our 10-year-old 5 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú, and it was inspiring to see how the unique qualities of Tokaji resonate across cultures. This visit strengthens ties between Hungary and China, and we look forward to fostering more connections through the rich tradition of Tokaji wines. Having always been a big fan of #QuintadoNoval's Tawnies, I was really excited to try this recently released 50 year old Tawny Port. Noval's great fame comes from its very prestigious Nacional #VintagePorts and the Tawnies seem to be a bit "under the radar". Congratulations to Victoria Mason MW, winner of the 2024 Quinta do Noval award for the best research paper. Victoria Mason is Wine Buyer at the Wine Society, she wrote a remarkable paper entitled: “An investigation into the enablers and barriers to the adoption and practice of regenerative viticulture in Stellenbosch”. The Research Paper is an individual project undertaken at the final stage of the Master of Wine exam, consisting of between 6,000 and 10,000 words, on a topic chosen by the student. Congratulations again!
