Techstars '18 - Augmenting doctors with the power of AI
À propos
AZmed has been the first French company to commercialize an AI-powered radiology software. For the last 10 years, the number of medical imaging act has been multiplied by 2 in OECD whereas the number of specialist able to analyze this flow of information has stagnated. Thus radiologists have less and less time to take the right decision and less time with the patient himself. AZmed facilitates fracture X-ray diagnostics thanks to artificial intelligence. It helps doctors save time and dedicate resources to life-threatening exams. Deep learning technologies as developed by AZmed are fully integrated into doctors’ workflow, making it easy to use, without requiring any change in their work habits. We differentiate by focusing on low-level exams, to enable doctors improve their daily productivity and optimizing their workflows. AZmed solutions are already used in more than 160 centers. More than 1 000 doctors are using the solution on a daily basis, in 9 different countries and 3 continents. AZmed’s teams are working side by side with radiologists in order to shape the future of medical imaging.

About Rayvolve Rayvolve is a computer-aided diagnostic tool capable of detecting trauma lesions and multiple chest pathologies (lung and cardiac) in standard radiography in less than a second. Once a patient undergoes a standard X-ray exam, Rayvolve identifies fractures, dislocation, effusion, and chest pathologies and presents the results directly to the radiologists' interpretation software. Deep learning technologies as developed by AZmed are fully integrated into doctors’ workflow, making them easy to use, without requiring any change in their work habits. We differentiate by focusing on low-level exams, to enable doctors to improve their daily productivity and optimize their workflows. According to clinical studies, it saves 36% of radiologists' time and reduces errors by 20%. Rayvolve is CE-marked IIa (under MDR 2017/45) and FDA-cleared. AZmed is the first French company to obtain the CE mark for artificial intelligence software in conventional radiology.

Diagnostic errors can delay care and frustrate patients. For radiology practices with high volumes of X-rays, maintaining accuracy while managing the daily workload is a significant challenge. SimonMed Imaging, one of the largest outpatient medical imaging providers in the U.S., addressed this by integrating AZmed’s clinically backed AI solution. With AZtrauma, radiologists receive X-rays augmented with AI, which marks potential fractures and other critical findings. Watch the video to hear what their Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Sean Raj, MD, MBA, has to say.
