    How I Transformed Thanksgiving Our clients undergo professional transformations and have also been changed by personal transformations that life experiences has brought them. If you have already partnered with us, you know that at Beyond Performance Leadership, we nurture and cherish attitudes and behaviors related to appreciation and recognition: we’ve gone through the transformation mill, especially by living abroad for an extended time. I’m French, 100%, if I dare say so, and nothing really predisposed me to leave. However, I lived in the United States for 7 years, and here are a few things that transformed me during this life chapter that I find essential to my role as a leader. I learned: That 80% is already very good, and we can celebrate many things. To be more action-oriented than thought-oriented, and thus simplify complexity. To be a team player while also being centered on my individual needs to take care of myself. To be positive, seeing the glass half full, sometimes with a certain naïveté. To think big and cultivate the ambition that anything is possible. To be reactive, focused on solving client problems and achieving objectives. To love exploring, trying new things, without fear of failure. To be able to talk to anyone, without bias and with an open mind. To cherish the people with whom I can talk about deep matters and raise a higher level question. I also learned how to cook a beautiful Thanksgiving turkey and enjoy it surrounded by family and friends, while genuinely being in a state of gratitude for all that life has given us and that is yet to come. Saying thank you. Focusing your intention on it. Taking a moment to recognize how fortunate we are. Being grateful. Teaching our children to be grateful. Sharing. Continuing. Improving.     La transformation à la Française / made in France ?  47ème édition du Congrès HR’ 13 et 14 novembre 2024, Pré Catelan, Paris Pour moi et quelques acolytes Charles-Henri Besseyre des Horts et Armelle Savidan, 2 salons RH en 2 semaines, autour d'une audience similaire - les senior leaders et décideurs RH, le 1er – européen - Horizon Summit, le 2ème, à Paris donc Congrès HR. 1ère surprise : l'angle d'attaque diffère. En France, versus l’actualité économique, on a commencé avec un discours sur l'empathie et les neurosciences. Manque d’ancrage/réalisme économique ou innovation ? 2e: tout le monde se connaît et se retrouve, pas ou peu d'étrangers, tout en français. Limitation ou opportunité ? Accompagner les transformations, et ce en France et en Europe, car nos clients opèrent généralement sur ces périmètres voire globaux, c’est nécessairement ouvrir le regard afin de combiner les 2. 👉 France, Europe, Les fondamentaux de la transformation sont les mêmes : - Une urgence partagée - Ancré dans le Business - Complexe et séquencé  - Processé - Des Hommes, femmes et des enablers - Sponsorisé  Criticalité de la Communication - Un sens, une vision, une histoire puissante et claire - Cross fonctionnel - Des émotions visibles ou invisibles - Du temps et du cadencement ☝ Quelques particularités des transformations « à la française » ? - Un élément de disruption et pourtant de conformisme  - Une larme créative voire inconventionnelle - Un besoin de mettre en mots et en Idées avec le risque de discussions perdant parfois les parties prenantes ou réalisme et pragmatisme - Souvent plus implicites et relationnelles, basées sur des alliances de confiance et de réseaux anciens  - Impliquant parfois des boucles d'alignements plus longues et parfois conflictuelles  - Plus verticales au détriment d’une écoute des résistances de l'organisation France et/ou Europe, afin d’accompagner la transformation, "On travaille avant tout avec l'homéostasie du système" Et vous, qu'avez-vous entendu (au salon) que vous ne saviez pas avant ? #transformation #interculturel #congrèsRH

N) 👌 Des processus et des Hommes, ensemble « Ce qui porte la performance d’une entreprise, c’est la qualité de ses processus et leur applicabilité. L’industrie est la meilleure école de formation. Il faut des approches individuelles et individualisées avec des processus solides » (R. B.) « il faut rajouter quelque chose au processus, garder leur robustesse, gagner en agilité en étant encore plus humain » (A.S) « les opérations et les RH, l’un ne va pas sans l’autre. On est dans la même barque.» R.B 🤜 Le rôle stratégique et déterminant des RH au service des transformations « Cela implique de redécouper le scope de la fonction RH. Il faut avoir la fonction RH à la hauteur de l’ambition, faire une montée en gamme. »  (J.L) « Le DRH fait bien son boulot si il connaît le P&L du top vers bottom et du bottom vers le top. Il doit pouvoir le décortiquer. Cela lui permet de poser la vraie question, notamment sur la performance » « La fonction RH est un enabler permanent.     I just finished the “Time for Feedback” training with the 8th group of managers at Valeo, and I'm proud to see how an organizational culture based on feedback and employee appreciation is going from strength to strength!     Surfing the chaos : How to get organisations resilient and future ready? An interesting question given the current shaky and shaking contact. This was the red thread of the Horizon Summit the last 2 days in Amsterdam, bringing together 400+ senior HR leaders from across Europe and beyond and which I had the pleasure to contribute to. What stroke me first was first the universality of the question across sectors, countries and second the heterogeneity of the HR function in its strategic reading and ability to grasp it and tackle it properly. Far from the fashionable, short term and in a way laser focused trends which usually take the floors of such summits (D&I, well-being...) 3 strategic people areas are key to prepare organisations for tomorrow : 💎 The use of AI and HR data to better measure, prepare and equip collaborators and people related systems and processes in customized and close to reality and business decision and problem solving solutions 💎 The criticality of leadership and skill-based development approach to address necessary levers of motivation, engagement, competence, mind shift and behaviors  💎 The strategic yet interface and activator role HR has to play towards the success of strategic and operational transformations which are and will shake and shape constantly the organisations Some sentences I kept as take away on Culture "Culture should not be owned by HR.
