Un web encore trop excluant : l’aveuglement numérique persiste après 20 ans de loi handicap Dans ma tribune pour Forbes France, je fais le point sur les 20 ans de la loi handicap et l’urgence de lutter contre l’exclusion numérique. 20 ans après, seuls 2,52% des sites respectent pleinement les normes d’accessibilité (Source : Fédération des Aveugles et Amblyopes de France). Un chiffre alarmant à l’heure où la technologie et l’intelligence artificielle progressent à une vitesse folle. Comment expliquer qu’en 2025, tant de plateformes restent hermétiques à une partie de la population ? La réponse est simple : ce n’est pas un manque de moyens, mais un manque de volonté. À la Contentsquare Foundation, nous voulons faire évoluer les mentalités. L’accessibilité ne doit plus être perçue comme une contrainte, mais comme une opportunité de construire un web plus inclusif et équitable. 20 years of the French Disability Act: Where do we stand? The Disability Act in France was adopted on February 11th, 2005, marking a pivotal step towards equal rights and opportunities for people with disabilities. But two decades later, how much progress have we really made? While some areas have improved, the digital world still has a long way to go. The Contentsquare Foundation’s 2024 Accessibility Barometer reveals: 📉 Only 7% of websites audited achieve high accessibility standards. 🟠 56% fail to disclose their accessibility efforts. 🛒 The e-commerce sector continues to lag behind with only 36% compliance. But change is coming! 📅 The European Accessibility Act, effective in June 2025, will introduce stricter digital accessibility standards across industries. This is a key opportunity to bridge the gap and move toward true digital inclusion. As we prepare for this shift, let’s not forget: digital accessibility isn’t just about compliance—it’s a human right.
