The purpose of the EAGE Local Chapter Paris is to engage with the multicultural and multidisciplinary geoscience and engineering network in Paris and overseas. The EAGE aims to promote young talents, drive professional development and exchange in the areas of geoscience and engineering. It also fosters the recognition of the geoscience profession in the community. The EAGE Local Chapter Paris Board is composed by: - President: Laura Mozga (2023-), previous: Ana Soles (2021-2022) - Vice-President: Emilio Darriba (2023-), previous: Nawal De Freslon (2021-2022) - Treasurer: Guillaume Henin (2023-), previous: Chiara Bonomi (2021-2022) The EAGE Local Chapter Paris was established to promote the geosciences and engineering and overall EAGE activities (including professional technical training) and provide updates on its members in the Paris area. The Local Chapter Paris promotes EAGE membership in the area. In addition to providing local feedback and requirements to EAGE, the Local Chapter Paris has the intention to build connections with other local societies (such as SPE France, S.A.I.D. (French division of SPWLA), Evolen... ) and then to promote activities that extend beyond a single discipline. We’re thrilled to share that our dedicated session at #GET24 in Rotterdam 🇳🇱, "Exploring New Roads for a Sustainable and Risk-Free Geothermal Energy Production – European Projects Case Studies," was a success and sparked tremendous interest from the audience ✨. Our Chapter President, Laura Mozga, did an outstanding job moderating the session, and the audience's enthusiasm was evident through the numerous questions raised. The session shed light on the potential of various geothermal projects across Europe 🇪🇺, with important insights shared on initiatives in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Belgium 🇧🇪, the UK 🇬🇧, and France 🇫🇷. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and special thanks 🙏🏻 to our speakers, Adriaan, Edgar, Patrick, Matsen, and Joe for their insightful presentations.
