"A.I. is deeply embedded in our product. But our users don't see it." The Gen-A.I. Hype is Real. Companies Suck at Implementing It. Users don't care about AI. They care about seamless experiences; At Trezy, A.I. is deeply embedded in our product. But our users don't see it. We don't even mention AI on our landing page. Users care about: - Seamless experience  - Huge benefits or huge pain-solving - Reliable outcome That's why we created CIFU - a framework that helps us decide when and how to implement AI features for maximum impact. Stop chasing AI gimmicks. Start building solutions that matter.

“It’s very simple: it’s basically the gross revenue your company made, before any financial effects like taxes or investments.” Thierry Veil, co-founder of Bagelstein There are two main ways to calculate EBITDA: ❶ Using Operating Income: EBITDA = Operating Income + Depreciation + Amortization (Operating income is the profit left after deducting daily business costs.) ❷ Using Net Income: EBITDA = Net Income + Interest + Taxes + Depreciation + Amortization (This method starts with your total profit and adds back the effects of taxes, loans, and accounting expenses.) - Here are some stuff you pay attention to: 1️⃣ Measure Financial Health Use EBITDA to understand if your profit margins are healthy and whether you can afford to hire more staff or invest in growth. 2️⃣ Compare to Industry Benchmarks Since EBITDA excludes taxes and interest, it allows you to compare your business’s performance to competitors in your sector. 3️⃣ Attract Investors or Financing Banks and investors love EBITDA. It’s one of the first metrics they check to assess your company’s value and growth potential. 4️⃣ Make Informed Decisions Track EBITDA regularly to ensure your business is correctly staffed, your sales are on target, and your purchases align with your margins. - Here are some stuff you should watch out for: IT'S NOT THE FULL PICTURE: EBITDA ignores cash flow and debt obligations. Your business might look profitable on paper but still struggle with cash shortages. IT'S NOT A STANDARD METRIC: Unlike official accounting metrics, EBITDA isn’t government-regulated. Be cautious of “window-dressed” numbers designed to impress investors. Don’t Confuse EBITDA with EBIT: EBIT excludes depreciation, which can make a big difference for asset-heavy businesses. #ebitda #ebit #finance #sme

Understanding the balance sheet is non-negotiable for anyone evaluating a company's financial health. Here's highlights of our article: Mastering the Balance Sheet: Key Elements For In-Depth Financial Analysis 👇 Business owners, advisors, or part of an accounting firm, these key elements are the foundation of sound financial analysis and cash-flow management: 1️⃣ Result of the Fiscal Year What it shows: Profitability. Example: A $100,000 net profit signals growth, while a $50,000 loss points to financial challenges. Tip: Pair this with the income statement for a full profitability picture. 2️⃣ Cash on Hand Why it matters: Liquidity to meet short-term obligations. Example: $500,000 in cash provides a buffer, while $20,000 could mean payroll struggles. Insight: Negative cash flow demands immediate attention to avoid liquidity risks. 3️⃣ Working Capital Requirement (WCR) Role: Gauges operational financing needs. Example: Positive WCR ($200K) = need for external funding; Negative WCR (-$50K) = efficient cash management. 4️⃣ Debt Ratio Purpose: Measures financial balance. Example: A debt ratio of 0.5 is manageable, but 2.0 signals higher risk. Key Thought: Strategic debt can fuel growth, but balance is critical. 5️⃣ Net Assets What it does: Reflects the company’s value. Example: Assets of $1M and liabilities of $400K = $600K net assets. 6️⃣ Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) Why it’s vital: Measures investment efficiency. Example: $150K net income from $1M capital = 15% ROIC. For acquisitions: Watch out for provisions for risks or bad debts—they reveal financial challenges that can influence decisions. #FinanceTips #SMEs #CashFlowManagement #Accounting #FinancialHealth

Pricing is a nightmare. Too high, and customers ghost you. Too low, and you're barely breaking even. It can feel like one of the most overwhelming parts of running a small business. It’s a delicate balance, and for many small business owners, it feels like trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces. The truth is, pricing isn’t just about covering your costs. It’s about understanding your market, your customers, and the value your product or service brings to the table. Luke (our CMO) wrote a great piece about this. He dives into the 5 things he would consider first: 1. Get a Grip on Your Costs: Dive deep into fixed, variable, and semi-variable costs to nail your break-even point. 2. Understand Your Market: Learn how to position your product so it stands out and resonates with your audience. 3. Play with Pricing Models: Experiment with different structures to boost your revenue. 4. Use Psych Pricing: Tap into techniques like charm pricing and price anchoring to sway buying decisions. 5. Test Before You Leap: Simulate scenarios to see how different pricing strategies impact your business. Big bonus: Pricing Calculator. We've built a tool that lets you simulate various pricing scenarios to make smart, informed choices. No more guesswork—just data-backed decisions that optimize your pricing strategy for maximum growth. Everything is on our website, in the resources section, check it out.
