The French Foreign Legion paratroopers (#2REP) was among the first French military units to adopt #Blacklite stretchers in 2023. In addition to regular overseas deployments, the regiment uses its Blacklite® stretchers in routine training such as this combat medic level 2 test, where a small team has to carry a 75kg (165 lbs) dummy for 8 km (5 miles) in less than 1 hour, while each carrying their own backpack. ℹ With a weight of 2,4 kg, the Blacklite® is 3 times lighter and 6 times smaller than standard NATO rigid stretchers such as the Talon litter, while offering the same unfolded size and main features. 🌱 Epsilon Composite was just awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis. For our second #EcoVadis assessment, we ranked in the top 5%, which highlights Epsilon’s commitment towards #sustainability and corporate social responsibility. For our first assessment in 2023 we had scored a silver medal (top 10%), which was a good start but not quite up to our own standards. True to our manufacturing culture, we follow a continuous improvement approach where we constantly look for new improvement opportunities and risks. In addition to various independant #CSR audits (the lastest one with a rating of 100/100), this EcoVadis scorecard provides our customers, suppliers and stakeholders with a transparent, unbiased view of our sustainability assessment. EcoVadis is one of the world’s most comprehensive corporate sustainability rating tools, covering over 200 industries, 175 countries, and more than 100,000 companies worldwide. The EcoVadis sustainability assessment methodology evaluates how a company has integrated the principles of Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsibility into its business and management systems. The methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000.
