🌊 Oceans, the Invisible Challenge 🌊 Did you know that a vast amount of the plastic polluting our oceans is completely invisible to the human eye? Or that scientists working to understand and protect our oceans often struggle to secure funding—especially for projects that may be crucial scientifically but don’t generate flashy headlines? These were just some of the eye-opening insights shared during our latest "Major Challenges for the Future" conference, held in collaboration with the Académie des sciences. We were honored to welcome Louis GELI (Ifremer, Brest) and Fabrice Not (CNRS, Station Biologique de Roscoff), who took us deep into the challenges and opportunities that define our oceans—the last great frontier. A special thank you to Laetitia Langlois, ESCP Business School’s Sustainability Manager, for her introduction, and to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion. Your engagement is what makes these conversations so impactful! Watch the replay here: https://lnkd.in/e2CSQQ-u. ⚡ On Induction Day 2025, President Donald Trump revoked Biden’s 2023 executive order on AI safety, removing regulations aimed at protecting consumers, workers, and national security. This decision eliminates requirements for AI developers to conduct safety tests or report risks to federal authorities. ❓ Justine DUKMEDJIAN, in her latest article, explores the implications of this move, which aligns with Trump’s push for deregulation but raises concerns about unchecked AI development. With cyber threats on the rise and geopolitical tensions escalating, is this a step toward innovation or a risky gamble? 👉 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/evixfEuS #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #AIPolicy #TrumpAdministration #TechRegulation #CyberSecurity #AIethics

🇫🇷 As the French AI Summit approaches, the conversation around artificial intelligence is evolving beyond technology—it's now a battle of influence, culture, and linguistic sovereignty. While AI continues to reshape global power dynamics, its development remains largely dominated by English-language datasets, raising concerns about the erosion of linguistic diversity and the subtle spread of Anglocentric norms. 🌍 💡 In this latest article, Alix Poncet explores how AI is shaping the future of language, identity, and digital sovereignty. With France and the Francophone world pushing for greater representation in AI, will Europe be able to assert itself in the global AI race, or will it remain in the shadow of U.S. and Chinese tech giants? 🇪🇺 👉 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dHSuaQv7
