Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting an online session bringing together the experts responsible for leading the public-private dialogue on cluster development in the project's target countries. 💡 Moderated by Dina Zabaneh, Projects Manager at Leaders International, the event provided a valuable opportunity for our expert consultants to share their experiences. Participants included: Hicham BOUDRAA for Morocco 🇲🇦 Chékib Ben Mustapha for Tunisia 🇹🇳 Younes Bahri for Algeria 🇩🇿 Aya Hoteit for Lebanon 🇱🇧 Ahmed Abdelbaky for Egypt 🇪🇬 Majdi Haj Khalil MSc, BSc for Jordan and Palestine 🇯🇴 🇵🇸 Each expert had the opportunity to present his or her action plan, the strategies used to identify key actors, and the progress made. Discussions also focused on national policies that could support the competitiveness of clusters. 📈 💬 In our own approach, "it is important to align our methodologies and learn from each other's experiences," stressed Dina Zabaneh. 💡 I had the privilege of speaking at the Euromed Clusters Forward event in #Frankfurt, co-financed by the European Commission and diverse SouthMed delegation, ANIMA Investment Network, and the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP). This event brought together 44 stakeholders and industry clusters from 16 countries to discuss business and technology cooperation. 🎙 Inspiring opening speeches were delivered by Mariella Masselink (European Commission), Virginie Cossoul (Programme Manager), EMMANUEL NOUTARY (#ANIMA), and Martina Bacova (#EISMEA). They highlighted the importance of European and South Mediterranean cluster cooperation to develop resilient, shorter value chains. 🤝 During the event, I shared my insights as the Cluster Coordinator at the Photovoltaic Industrial Technology Cluster - FETEK. Key takeaways include: ✅ Cross-regional collaboration is crucial for diversifying and strengthening supply chains. ✅ RTD collaboration and B2B network expansion are essential for innovative businesses. ✅ Building trust between stakeholders accelerates co-creation in joint RTD and business relationships, and as fast as we move through such process the better the results. Meeting delegates from SouthMed countries was particularly valuable for enhancing our region's exposure and strengthening collaboration. Such events reaffirm the importance of long-term strategies to bring regions and stakeholders closer together. 🔁 After insightful panel discussions, the day continued with #B2B meetings, providing a platform to deepen discussions and build strong partnerships. 📌 We also attended ACHEMA 2024 and visited innovation hubs in biotechnology, energy, and digital technology. 🤜🤛 Networking with German companies at #ACHEMA 2024, organized by Technologieland Hessen and IHK Frankfurt am Main, was a highlight. ❤️ This event marked significant progress towards greater integration, value sharing, and lasting cooperation between Europe and North Africa. During the three day mission to Darmstadt and Frankfurt, our delegation had the opportunity to: ✅Participate in B2B meetings, ✅Explore the latest trends and technologies in the process industry at the ACHEMA 2024 exhibition, ✅Immerse themselves in the local innovation ecosystem through visits to the Frankfurt Biotechnology Innovation Centre, the Process4Sustainability cluster and the Process Learning Factory CiP.
