Europcar Mobility Group's CX Days 2024 come to an end! 🎶 CX (Customer Experience) Days are way more than an internal event. They are the flagship of a never-ending journey which aims at anchoring customer focus at the heart of our organization, deeper every year. The programme of this 3rd edition was rich: workshops with customers, "Field Immersion" for over 300 EU and US HQ colleagues in Europcar, Goldcar Rental, Europcar on demand and Fox Rent A Car stations, insightful webinars, innovation projects contest... our Customer Intelligence team was fully mobilized to create an enriching experience. Thank you to all the participants, to our NPS Champions and to the CX Ambassadors rewarded for their achievements and dedication to customers. They really are #HappyToHelp and it shows. Special thanks to our amazing CX Days org. team: Sarah Bessmann, Pierre-Gabriel Duchene, Valérie FRANCOIS-RIEHL, Stefanie Elsner and all the Customer and Market Intelligence team. It's not everyday that our people get to serve an absolute legend! We can only imagine how stoked the very lucky hiker who got to deliver her EV to Dame Sarah Storey was. 45 World 🥇, 77 World Records, 19 Paralympic 🥇 in swimming then in cycling over 9 Paralympic Games: Dame Sarah Storey is ParalympicsGB’s most successful Paralympian of all time, and a living example of what wonders the combination of strong will, hard work and talent can achieve. Needless to say that she is always juggling many tasks at the same time. So, when she tried out the Europcar Delivery & Collection service, which brings the rental car to your door, she was happy to sign up for our UK broadcast campaign.   “When our car broke down shortly after I won my second gold medal at the Paris Games, I wasn’t looking forward to managing our busy family schedules while we waited to find out if it could be repaired. Fortunately, I discovered the delivery and collection service offered by Europcar in the UK and it’s really made me think differently about owning a car in the future. It was an incredibly simple process to book the car, and as ever I was doing it last minute! The booking process was very simple and with plenty of choice of EVs at a good price, I didn’t have to worry about compromising on boot space or budget!   The delivery service was also seamless, the car arrived on time, was spotlessly clean and we couldn’t have been happier to get the car we’d booked! So often it can feel like a lottery when you need a hire car, but this definitely felt as though it was as close as possible to the convenience of having your own car outside, but without the expense of actually owning it!   I’d definitely recommend the service, it would be especially helpful to families trying to decide whether they need two cars or one. When you have the option to hire a vehicle at such short notice and it’s both delivered and collected, saving you the time of going to the car rental office and the money and responsibility of owning a car in the first place. I also liked the fact that there were so many EVs to choose from. As we all become more aware of our impact on air quality and health, it’s good to know that on the days you do need to have a car, it doesn’t have to be at the expense of other things that are important.” #WeHelpToChangeTheWayYouMove

But that's no excuse to stop smart initiatives ! 🌱   Every week should be an European Sustainable Development Week. At least that’s what we try to do at Europcar Mobility Group, by promoting sustainable mobility in our daily business, in cities and on the roads.   We are proud to support and accelerate the adoption of electric mobility, as we believe that renting an EV is a great way to test, explore and break down mental barriers.   Here are some recent initiatives we launched with our main brand, Europcar, in the countries where we operate: organizing test drive events for both B2B and B2C customers in Germany, France, and Italy, installing fast chargers at our stations in Australia, supporting La Vuelta cycling race in Spain with a fleet of EVs and PHEVs for organisers, offering free EV rentals in Denmark, creating an EV guide in the UK to highlight the benefits of our models, and participating in the UK’s EV rally, covering over 5,000 miles to showcase the impressive range of EVs. ⚡️   Through these initiatives, we are firmly committed to play our part in changing the game.    #SustainableDevelopmentWeek #wehelptochangethewayyoumove

Another important milestone for our “Commit Together” CSR programme! On 30 July, we signed the Sustainable Procurement & Supplier Relations Charter, whose 10 commitments reflect our desire to build balanced relationships with our suppliers and involve them in our sustainability efforts across all dimensions: economic, social, community and environmental.   For our Group, signing the RFAR Charter reinforces our existing policies and practices and reaffirms our determination to move forward with our Procurement teams and suppliers.   Thanks to Sophie Dixon and Stéphanie Renard from Médiateur des entreprises at the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance, for supporting us in this process. [Europcar stories] Meet Rene, the heartbeat of teamwork at Europcar Hamburg! Joining us in 2019 as a retail agent, he embarked on a journey of career development and evolution. Rene's path with the Europcar team includes successfully opening a new station and receiving the "You Make The Difference" award (employees who stand out for their performance and/or commitment). Rene's story with Europcar began at 6 years old, helping his mom stamp leaflets at her station. Fast forward to 2024, Rene's now thriving in operations, training new station employees in damage management processes. He wholeheartedly recommends Europcar as a workplace where each day brings new opportunities in a friendly atmosphere. The proof is in the pudding: he recommended the company to his wife, who has been working at Europcar for two years now.

Our history began 75 years ago, with a simple yet disruptive idea: “If you can’t afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?”. Our journey towards decarbonization 🚗   Sustainability is a long journey, which we started 20 years ago, being the first car rental player to join the UN Global Compact in 2005 and, more recently, the first industry player to have its GHG reduction targets validated by SBTI. Like every year, the ITB in Berlin is an occasion for us to invite all our franchisees and partners to a two-days event tailored around their expectations and needs. We call it the "Global Conference". The programme of the 2024 edition was particularly rich and insightful for our 160 guests from all over the world: they had the opportunity to discover our new Strategic Plan, #Exceed and what's in it for them, be it at brands, tech, e-commerce or sales level. All this in a highly interactive manner, allowing for fruitful discussions where #Expand, the 2nd pillar of our strategic plan, was - rightfully so - the core topic.
