The 50th Network of Representative Bodies (NRBs) meeting took place yesterday in #Brussels at UNIFE | The European Rail Supply Industry Association 🚅 ➡️ aimed at exchanging information on railway #safety and #interoperability, promoting best practices, and disseminating valuable knowledge for a stronger #rail network. 🤝 working continuously together to strengthen and empower European railways! 👏 A big thank you to #UNIFE for hosting and to all the participants for their invaluable contributions! #railways #collaboration #mobility #transport

Since May 2022, the EU-Ukraine #SolidarityLanes have been keeping imports and exports between Ukraine, Moldova and the EU moving, despite Russia's war of aggression.     In the early days, we used them to get around Russia's blockade of the Black Sea, supporting in particular Ukrainian grain exports and humanitarian aid via EU rail, road and inland waterways.     Where do we stand 2.5 years on?   ✔ Solidarity Lanes now cover all sectors of trade, from fuel to steel, and imports as well as exports.   ✔ They have led to new business connections between companies from EU, Ukraine and Moldova and generated a trade value of more than €180 billion between us.   ✔ We invested ca. €2 billion of EU funding to improve EU-Ukraine rail and road connections, and to speed up border procedures, for example.  ✔ We integrated Ukraine and Moldova into the EU transport network – the TEN-T – and both countries now have access to EU funding for transport infrastructure.      The Solidarity Lanes have brought us closer than ever before.     And we won't stop here. #StandWithUkraine 📽️ Watch the Solidarity Lanes in action in Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Estonia ⬇  https://lnkd.in/eBtStkRk

This week the Agency delivered the #training “design and implementation of a safety management system” in #Athens targeted at staff of the Greek #railway sector. The training was delivered under the #TSI Action "Technical Support to Railway Safety and Interoperability in #Greece".
