With David Broussard we had an excellent representation for our research activitity with GREDEG-CNRS, Université Côte d'Azur and Laboratoire ECOSEAS in the field of Blue Finance. Yet, they face unprecedented threats from climate change, pollution, and overfishing, leading to widespread degradation. Restoring coral reefs is critical to preserving biodiversity, supporting fisheries, and protecting coastlines from erosion and storms. However, funding for restoration efforts remains insufficient. Increasing investment in coral reef restoration is essential to safeguarding these vital ecosystems and the millions of livelihoods that depend on them. Eversea tackles this issue and channels available funds towards effective restoration efforts. 🇫🇷 Les récifs coralliens sont des écosystèmes inestimables, fournissant des services essentiels aux communautés côtières du monde entier. Pourtant, ils sont confrontés à des menaces sans précédent liées au changement climatique, à la pollution et à la surpêche, ce qui entraîne une dégradation généralisée. La restauration des récifs coralliens est essentielle pour préserver la biodiversité, soutenir la pêche et protéger les côtes de l'érosion et des tempêtes. 🇬🇧 Great and informative day at the IFR MARRES - Université Côte d'Azur annual seminar in Nice yesterday 🌊 EverSea’s Nikita Rose and David Broussard attended this seminar at the Le Saint Paul Hotel in Nice, Côte d’Azur. Eversea presented their newest research and services to the marine stakeholders in the region. It was a rich day with multiple interesting actors in the startup, research, law, and other fields. I also participated in a fascinating side-event on the theme "Regenerative Ocean Solutions - Investing in Tomorrow's Blue Economy", organized by the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco It was a day full of exchanges and inspiring meetings with key players from the world of research, entrepreneurship and innovation.
