FEMISE, Forum Euroméditerranéen des Instituts de Sciences Économiques
The Euro Mediterranean Forum of Institutes of Economic Sciences, is a Euromed network established in Marseille, France in June 2005 as an NGO (under the French Law of 1901), following 8 years of activities as a project. The network gathers more than 100 members of economic research institutes from the North and South of the Mediterranean.
FEMISE main objectives is to conduct research on priority EuroMed issues. Moreover, reinforce and promote dialogue on economic and social policies, and deepen co-operation between different stakeholders for their mutual benefit on the two shores of the Mediterranean
What FEMISE do?
1. Conduct policy oriented research and provide recommendations with respect to socio-economic priority issues in relation to the EU-Med partnership.
2. Provide a repository of studies, methodologies and sectoral approach concerning the socio-economic reality of the Euro-Mediterranean region.
3. Provide a platform that promotes policy dialogues between different stakeholders on issues that matter for the region.
4. Establish partnerships and encourage cooperation and collaboration between economic institutions of both North and South towards the accomplishment of the Association’s objective.
