When we talk about sustainability at Freyssinet, it's not just theory. Freyssinet France recently worked on the Masséna Bridge as part of the road elevation project. This structure, built between 1966 and 1969, is the longest bridge in Paris. The client wanted to replace the joints, as they are over 55 years old, and the replacement operation could be carried out without additional lane closures beyond those already planned for the roadwork, at a very moderate cost. During the replacement of these WP250 joints, Freyssinet teams found that the joint was in perfect working condition. The anchors did not need to be changed, further simplifying the operation. With a traffic interruption of less than 7 hours and very low costs, the joint line is set for another 50 years of reliable service!

[SAFETY FIRST] Insights from our working at height rescue training on the Guiniguada viaduct! 📍 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain To enhance our operational safety and preparedness in high-risk environments, our engineering and safety teams recently completed a complex drill on the Guiniguada viaduct, a structure known for its 100-meter-high piers and 140-meter central span. 👉 This challenging exercise was conducted in collaboration with Freyssinet España S.A.U., the experienced firefighters of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the safety specialists from SEPROM. The operation involved: · Simulated emergency scenarios to evaluate team responses in real-time conditions. · Advanced coordination protocols to ensure seamless interaction between on-site personnel and emergency teams. · Reinforcement of safety measures, focusing on height-specific rescue strategies using industry-leading techniques and equipment. 👀 What made this drill particularly special? The viaduct’s remarkable 90-meter height and the collaboration with firefighters were key elements of this exercise. •  Our teams were able to put their theoretical rescue training into practice, under the supervision of expert firefighters. •  The firefighters had the opportunity to assess the rescue equipment available on-site, familiarize with the construction site, and better understand the specific nature of the activities involved. This preparation ensures a more seamless and efficient response in the event of an actual emergency. [PROJECT] Inspections on the Atlantic bridge!   📍 Colón, Panama   Freyssinet Tierra Armada de Panamá S.A. not only worked on the construction on the Atlantic bridge, but they are also in charge of the inspections. ✨ Completed in August 2019, this 3,159-meter-long cable-stayed concrete structure, with a 530-meter main span and 212.50-meter-high towers, has become an iconic feature of the region.   During its construction, our teams were responsible for the prestressing of the access viaducts and the main cable-stayed bridge, installing Freyssinet H2000 stay cables, and lifting the launching girders with Hebetec Engineering AG jacks.   👉 Inspection 1: our teams examined 85 tendons (33% of the total), confirming the integrity of some critical components such as main duct and anchorages.   👉 Inspection 2: expanded to 150 tendons, including internal radial dampers, ensuring both external and internal stability.   👉 Inspection 3: focused on dampers and joints, inspecting 90 supports and applying protective coatings, leading to essential maintenance recommendations.   We remain committed to delivering top-tier quality and safety on every project! #sustainabletechnology #quality #inspection #Atlanticbridge

[PROJECT] The facelift of the Passerelle de l’Île ✨   📍 Geneva, Switzerland   ✔ On Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, we successfully completed the lowering operation of the Passerelle de l’Île, located in the heart of Geneva.   This heritage structure, over 140 years old, was elevated by approximately 2 meters by our teams in April 2023. This led to a full clean-up of the original lead-based coat, in addition to the reinforcement of the metallic structure and its foundations. Now, the fully renovated pedestrian bridge has been carefully lowered to its final position.   💪 Freyssinet Suisse SA , in partnership with Hebetec Engineering AG, employed four hydraulic jacks, each with a capacity of 70 tons, connected to a control pump to ensure the synchronized lowering of all four corners with millimeter precision. Furthermore, we have supplied and installed the four permanent pot bearings.   👷♂️ Freyssinet Suisse SA has carried out his operation on behalf of Rampini & Cie SA Construction Company.
