🔎 Welcome to our series, behind the scenes 🔍 How does UV-C light compare with chemicals (liquid & gas)❓ They have very different operating mechanisms and hierarchies of resistance to microbial strains! 🔆UV-C light = DNA, RNA and/or proteins absorb UV-C, disrupting their structure and inactivating microorganisms. 🧪 Chemical - Liquid & Gas = chemical reaction with cells membrane, such as oxidation. During the rigorous FDA's De Novo process, we established, for the very first time, a new resistance hierarchy in microbial strains dedicated to UV-C! While bacterial spores are the most resistant to chemicals, mold spore and particularly aspergillus spores, are the most resistant to UV-C light. Amazing, isn't it? And there's more!
