🌪️ In the aftermath of Cyclone Chido, Free-the iliad Group and the AXIAN Group have moved into action to support Mayotte. Our teams are working hard to restore the services of Only, the island’s leading mobile operator, while at the same time helping our employees and the people affected by the disaster. 👉 Our overriding priority is to guarantee the safety of our 52 Mahoran employees and their loved ones, while making sure they have access to food and water. To this end, our local teams, based in Reunion Island, Madagascar, the Comoros and Tanzania, are providing them with round-the-clock support. 📡 Out of Only’s 54 base stations, six are already back up and running, providing network coverage to approximately 40% of the population around Mamoudzou and Kaweni. We’re continuing to carry out repairs but are dependent on the electricity supply being restored. 🚛 Some five tonnes of equipment is on the way from mainland France, along with more from Madagascar and Tanzania, and volunteer specialists from our network teams will be joining the teams in Mayotte. 🤝 We’ve made communications (voice/text messages/data) free of charge and unlimited for Only mobile plans in areas where there is service. And Axian Telecom will be proposing low-cost offers for communications to Mayotte. 🧡 We’ve donated €80,000 to the French Red Cross and the Secours Populaire Français. And the Free Foundation has made a €50,000 donation to Télécoms Sans Frontières, which is putting in place emergency communications solutions as of today. We intend to carry on mobilizing our teams to support the people of Mayotte who’ve suffered such devastating damage. We’re by their sides and will continue to do all we can to help.

🌐 On this World Climate Day, throwback to three major steps towards a sustainable future made by our Group in 2024: 👉 iliad Group successfully issued its first €500 million Green Bond, with an overwhelming €1.5 billion investor demand! This funding will accelerate projects under our Green Financing Framework, focused on sustainable technologies, marking a major milestone in our journey to reduce carbon emissions. ☀️ We're stepping up our renewable energy commitment with three new Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in partnership with ENGIE and Statkraft across France, Italy, and Poland. These agreements will add nearly 140 GWh of renewable electricity annually—enough to power cities like Quimper, Padua, or Częstochowa! ✔️ Our carbon reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). By 2030, we aim to cut Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 60% and Scope 3 emissions by 46%. By 2050, we commit to a 90% reduction across all scopes, fully aligned with the 1.5°C pathway 👇 #WorldClimateDay

⚡ Yesterday, Aude Durand, Deputy CEO of the iliad Group, was attending International Energy Agency (IEA) Global Conference on #Energy & #AI, hosted at the IEA Headquarters in Paris. 👉 The Global Conference on Energy & AI convened more than 300 participants from energy & technology companies, governments, civil society, and universities to discuss the energy-AI nexus. 📍 As our energy needs continue to grow, we strongly believe at the iliad Group that we have a responsibility to develop truly sustainable AI. 🚀 The iliad Group and InfraVia Capital Partners partner to develop a major European Hyperscale data center platform! We’re excited to announce a strategic partnership between the iliad Group and InfraVia to position OPCORE as a leading European hyperscale data center platform, valued at €860M. 👉 With a 20-year track record, OpCore is ready to meet Europe’s surging demand for cloud and AI, in a market growing at over 20% annually. As part of the transaction, InfraVia, through its infrastructure funds, will acquire a 50% equity stake in OpCore, marking a significant milestone in the Company’s growth and strategic development. 🤝 This partnership gives OpCore the right financial structure with a dedicated financing that will cover up to 75% of OpCore’s investment needs with bank debt. It will enable OpCore to scale to more than 130 MW through the development of a c.100 MW data center in the Paris region, and then to multiple hundreds of megawatts in Europe. This partnership strengthens ties between OpCore, Scaleway (the iliad Group’s cloud subsidiary), and InfraVia to build a truly European digital ecosystem.
