#ThrowbackThursdays: it's been nearly 15 years since #Helexia started   empowering businesses with decarbonisation and sustainable solutions. 2016 brought Luis Pinho on board and the launch of #HelexiaPortugal. The following year in 2017 they proudly made their first installation with Costa Verde of 1 MW capacity. To date this has produced 10 GWh. As the 🌍 global conversation on climate action draws to a close at this month’s #COP29, Helexia reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and the energy transition. Our special envoy from #HelexiaPortugal @Alice Khouri is in Azerbaijan gaining insights.   She shared information on the Loss and Damage fund where €720M euros is looking to support developing countries in their climate transition, mitigation and adaptation. Sweden stood out with a contribution of 19 million, and the fund, decided at COP28 but with negotiations going back years, now has payments scheduled to start in 2025. Azerbaijan also surprised by announcing a new fund where countries and fossil fuel companies will contribute in proportion to their revenues. Although controversial, this fund promises to generate continued discussion.
