#Hickathon2024 After weeks of preparation through courses and a career fair, the Hi!ckathon Final Sprint has officially started! Our students kicked off the weekend at Télécom Paris. Over the next two days, they’ll be putting their knowledge and creativity to the test, trying to develop innovative solutions. To achieve trustworthy AI, we must focus on transparency and ensuring that these systems align with human values and needs. At our latest Data Boot Camp, our participating students had the chance to learn from Florian Arthur (Quantmetry - Part of Capgemini Invent) who shared his expertise on #data science consulting. Florian provided a practical look into turning data projects into real-world solutions, using examples like a voice recognition chatbot for RATP. He highlighted the need to go beyond #model accuracy, focusing on creating products that solve real problems, enhance user experience, and integrate seamlessly into existing operations. Key takeaways from his talk: 🔍 Focus on products, not just models: It’s about solving real problems through complete solutions like chatbots, web apps, and APIs. 🚀 Start small with an MVP: Launch with core features to validate user needs early and iterate based on feedback. 🤝 Engage users and IT from the start: Early alignment ensures smooth integration, while user feedback shapes better products. 📊 Prioritize data quality and monitoring: Adapting to evolving data and user behavior is crucial for long-term success.
