Global Arbitration Review released its GAR 100 data report, determining what the average international arbitration is 🔍 Containing details of more than 11,000 unique cases, they came to the following conclusion: “ICC is the most important institution for GAR 100 firms.” 🏆 ICC-related key findings are: 🔹 ICC totals 2,638 cases. This is 20.01% (or 642 cases) higher than GAR 100’s second most important institution. 🔹 ICC accounts for over a quarter of the total GAR 100 work. 🔹 The total value of the GAR 100 cases heard by ICC amounts to US$ 931.83 billion, which is the highest value by institution. 🔹 Between 2015 and 2022, ICC remained the leader in total value by institution. 🔹 ICC carries around double the number of US$250 million plus cases than its closest competitor. In this edition of the ICC Dispute Resolution Bulletin: The Bare Minimum: Cost-Efficient Awards for Disputes of Small– and Medium–Sized Enterprises 🏢 This much-awaited multijurisdictional study, led by Professor George A. Bermann and Andrés Jana, explores the minimum requirements that domestic laws impose on the content of awards as efforts are developed to enhance the efficiency of drafting awards. Reflecting the views of respondents from 41 jurisdictions, the research concludes that there are opportunities to make arbitration more affordable for SMEs, but also identifies the potential risks associated with them. 2024: A Milestone Year for ICC Advanced Arbitration Academies 🌐 This year has been nothing short of amazing for the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academies, with several exciting milestones achieved.
