🦠VIRUS CRIMEAN-CONGO HAEMORRHAGIC FEVER🦠 Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) is a widespread disease caused by a tick-borne virus (Nairovirus) belonging to the Bunyaviridae family. It was detected in France in 2023, in ticks collected from cattle farms in the southern part of the country.   🦟The virus is primarily transmitted to humans through ticks or contact with livestock animals. 👫Human-to-human transmission can also occur through close contact with the blood, secretions, organs, or other bodily fluids of infected individuals. 🌍CCHF is endemic in certain regions, including parts of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Cases have also been reported in some eastern and southern European countries, including Spain. Although an inactivated, mouse brain-derived vaccine for CCHF has been developed and used on a limited scale in eastern Europe, no widely available safe and effective vaccine currently exists for humans. 💉Treatment: Management of CCHF primarily involves supportive care and symptom treatment. The antiviral drug ribavirin has been used with apparent benefit in treating the infection. Both oral and intravenous formulations appear to be effective. We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully loaded the "Polio Modular Laboratory," a fully equipped BSL-2 facility, into a 40-foot HC extra-wide container. This state-of-the-art laboratory is destined for the Central Public Health Laboratories (CPHL) for #Polio diagnosis. 🌍 The loading operation was an exceptional transport task, and we are eagerly anticipating its journey to Muscat, Oman. The arrival is scheduled for the first week of 2025. Visite du chantier du Centre Hospitalier de Cayenne - Andrée Rosemon , à Cayenne, pour la construction d’un laboratoire P3 de 55 m² en conteneur, comprenant deux locaux techniques, une zone commune et : ✳ Laboratoire 1 de type P3 de #Mycologie et #Virologie. ✳ Laboratoire 2 de type P3 pour l’analyse de la #Tuberculose. Nous sommes ravis de pouvoir construire ce laboratoire pour l’hôpital 🏨 , qui aujourd'hui joue un rôle essentiel dans la région de Guyane en répondant à près de la moitié des besoins de la région. Le personnel de l'hôpital va pouvoir manipuler des agents pathogènes de classe 3 ☣️pour effectuer leur travail de recherche et de diagnostic sur les différentes maladies de la région.
