🚀 Last month, our team officially kicked-off the R&D #STORM project, aimed to improve the future efficiency of #FloatingOffshoreWind farms! 🚀 STORM, or Strategies and Tools for Offshore Reliability and Maintenance, is set to last two years, with its central goal to optimise the reliability and maintainability of #Floating assets. Marine fleet management, maintenance and monitoring strategies, as well as barriers to accessibility will be analysed from an OPEX standpoint - including, hourly cost of energy and down time. 🌊🌍 💡 Our Scope of Work 💡 👉 To develop a database of marine fleet availability, requirements, characteristics, and leasing options in the regions of interest 👉 Perform numerical simulations of offshore operations between ships and floating wind turbines/substations 👉 Analyse accessibility limitations 👉 Study vessel fleet operability by identifying suitable working windows (examining #Metocean and potential weather/climactic conditions) This project combines our expertise with partners from around Europe including, Atlantique Offshore Energy, #BlueTwin, OCEANIDE, Réseau de Transport d'Électricité, SolarinBlue, Nantes Université, and France Energies Marines. Day, a national health and wellbeing initiative focused on suicide prevention.
