À propos

The Institute of Chemistry & Biology of Membranes & Nano-objects (CBMN), is a joint research unit (UMR 5248) of the CNRS, the University of Bordeaux (UB), the National Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux (Bordeaux INP), and Bordeaux Sciences Agro (secondary). 200 people are currently working for the Institute and half of them with a permanent position: 38 Associate Professors, 16 Professors, 17 research fellow, 11 Research Directors, and 24 Engineers. The laboratory premises are located at the University of Bordeaux on the campus of Talence- Pessac- Gradignan, and campus Carreire. A third one is located at the Périgueux IUT. The CBMN Institute is a multidisciplinary research laboratory at the interface between Chemistry, Biology and Physics. It includes 16 research teams, organized in 4 thematic clusters: - The Chemical Biology and Supramolecular Chemistry (CBSC) cluster is focused on chemistry and organic synthesis ; - The Biomedical Research : Fundamental and Translational (BioFAP) cluster is devoted to the understanding of biological mechanisms ; - The Multiscale Biophysics (MSB) cluster is specialized in the implementation of experimental devices for the molecular assemblies characterization ; - The Nutraceutical, Medical and Food Applications of Biomolecules (NMFAB) is dedicated to the biomolecules extraction, their formulation and their scale-up production. Our mission : We are a public research organism with a goal of general interest. We promote and spread the scientific excellence of the French research all around the world and participate to the competitiveness of the country. Our goal is to adress societal and environmental challenges and thus positively impact the socio-economic world. Our ambition : To bring together academic and industrial worlds to meet the biggest tecnological challenges. This is why we propose to give us our support to make your R&D projects succesful, by different options (service delivery, collaboration, PhD, internship…).
