🇵🇱 Interreg Europe’s team visited the venue for our annual event, #EuropeCooperates, last week!   Our interregional cooperation forum will take place at the Stara Zajezdnia in Krakow. The former tram depot—now a UNESCO-listed site—boasts industrial architecture dating back to 1913. Over the years, the building has been preserved and revitalized, ensuring that its historical charm remains intact.   We look forward to joining you on 19-20 March in Poland to celebrate interregional cooperation and the 10th anniversary of the Policy Learning Platform.    #Interreg #InterregEurope #CohesionPolicy

27 January is 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆. Between 1941 and 1945, six million Jewish people were murdered under the Nazi regime. Among this number were also hundreds of thousands of Roma as well as other victims. 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. The European Commission began its "first-ever strategy on combatting antisemitism and fostering Jewish life" in 2021. Our own programme co-finances a project, JEWELS TOUR, which is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating Jewish history and cultural heritage. The project aims to recognise the role Jewish heritage has had in shaping Europe's cultural identity, and identifying how to preserve this legacy. Participants are focusing especially on how to protect "immaterial heritage", which refers to the intangible cultural practices and traditions passed down from generation to generation. This is especially important given the "scarcity of physical artefacts caused by the destruction of last century's wars". Read more from JEWELS TOUR Interreg Europe 👉 https://bit.ly/40vVv4n

🌿 26 January is the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆! Fossil fuels will not be able to produce energy forever, and their sources are quickly depleting. Clean energy is necessary to reduce the reliance on nonrenewable energy sources and also to decrease emissions that harm the planet. 🤝 At Interreg Europe, we are proud to co-finance 25 projects that work to provide greener energy solutions. They strive to create solutions for Europeans that will be felt by future generations—from finding more sustainable mobility solutions to improving regional policies on fossil fuel dependence.
