40-second bootstrap highlight reel 📽️ ft. lemlist’s Guillaume Moubeche, Lucca’s Gilles Satgé, teamstarter’s Ségolène Mouterde - Haas, and Ignition Program’s Caroline Pailloux The session brought to life how resisting early fundraising can lead to startups that are incredibly well run, resilient, and values-driven. The advantages of bootstrapping covered below: 💡 Having limited resources forces you to really think outside the box, especially from a marketing standpoint. It was this context that got Lemlist and Guillaume the notoriety they have. 👣 Going solo means that you can go at your pace to learn what you need in order to make your company great (if your market allows it). Conversely, having investors can often mean going at their pace, not yours. 💸 Bootstrapping means more cash in the end. Probably also a lower valuation, but no liquidation preferences means more capital, and more money for the founders. It’s impossible to fit all the insights from the event into 50 seconds, but the huge turnout highlighted how relevant this topic is right now. It’s not the easiest path, but more founders are exploring what bootstrapping can offer when it’s done right. A huge thank you to our panelists, attendees, and Augustin Celier for being an A+ moderator 🤗

One Year, €100 Million Won! Just one year after launching Tengo (HX24) with Hugues Renou and Yoann Gauthier, they’ve reached an important milestone: helping their users to win public tenders worth over €100M in total. Behind this figure lies a range of diverse projects that are transforming communities and businesses: 🥗 Delivering dignity: €700k for meal deliveries to elderly and disabled individuals. 🎟️ Spreading joy: €450k in gift vouchers and cards. 🗺️ Mapping possibilities: €1.5M for a data portal to improve understanding of regional territories. 📽️ Showcasing cities: €50k for Dijon’s digital promotion. 🚧 Revitalizing spaces: €230k for Town Hall and Post Office energy renovation. 🍼 Caring for little ones: €450k for municipal nursery hygiene products. How did they do it? Tengo’s AI-powered platform helped clients every step of the way by: 🕸️ Finding opportunities: Centralizing tenders from over 250 platforms. 🔎 Decoding requirements: Extracting and simplifying buyers’ demands. ✍️ Streamlining responses: Coordinating and assisting in creating winning submissions. Since it can take 2 to 6 months for a public buyer to award a contract after a tender is submitted, there are still many outcomes in progress. We look forward to Tengo’s next milestone: one billion euros in wins!

Introducing Twice... ✌️ A podcast hosted by Thibaud Elziere. A podcast about entrepreneurs who were crazy enough not to do it just once, but twice. Because they bring twice the lessons, twice the perspectives, twice the successes and failures. At Hexa, we are surrounded by people who do it again and again. Whether it's our Partners, who have built businesses and have now decided to launch many at Hexa in parallel, or whether it's our very own founders who decide to launch with Hexa a second time after having do it on their own a first time. We believe that these individuals have so much to say - and that's why we're dedicating a podcast just to them. The first episode drops next week on all podcast platforms! 👉 Subscribe now to be the first to listen! https://lnkd.in/emNw6Fzk

The floor is yours! 💥 On Tuesday, December 3rd, we’re inviting aspiring founders to Hexa for the opportunity to explore their ideas with our partners. This is your chance to soundboard off experts, articulate your vision (perhaps for the very first time!), and even take the first steps toward launching your idea with Hexa, if we both find it’s a match. How it works: 👀 Review our areas of interest in the application form. If your idea aligns with one of them, even loosely, we’d love to hear from you. Who we’re looking for: 🚀 You’re eager to create a company and ready to get started soon. 🚧 You don’t need a polished business plan. It’s ok if this is the first time you’re putting your idea into words—you just need an early vision of what you want to build. Application deadline: Monday November 25th. Spaces are limited, so apply early! ➡ https://lnkd.in/eqKuEcFH

The next generation of entrepreneurs 🌱 Last week, GTM Lead Quentin Le Gall and Annette (HX24) cofounder Gwen Le Calvez welcomed EDHEC Business School entrepreneurship students to explore how startup studios support company building. They shared how Hexa collaborates with founders, the milestones startups achieve with us, and why the startup studio model can make a difference for entrepreneurs. Whether they choose to launch their own ventures one day, support founders behind the scenes, or pursue other paths, we hope the session offered a glimpse into the unique role startup studios play in bringing ideas to life. It was a pleasure meeting future leaders who will shape the entrepreneurial landscape 🤗

Tengo’s (HX23) Hugues Renou is a three-time founder 🦸♂️ The same goes for CTO and cofounder Yoann Gauthier — in fact, he and Hugues launched their previous two companies together. Both were bootstrapped and profitable, which is no small feat. But for their third go, they decided to partner with Hexa. It’s a pattern we see often: entrepreneurs who’ve already been through the journey recognize the value of a partnership like Hexa’s more readily. For Hugues and Yoann, it was about identifying their blind spots and gaining the expertise they needed to create a truly scalable company. And they got what they were looking for. With Hexa’s support, Tengo raised a €3M Seed Round led by Point Nine in just twelve months and now operates on a well-oiled growth engine. Hugues explains more in the video 📺
