🇮🇳🤝🇮🇹 India and Italy have never been so close! Last week, #Mumbai hosted the "Festa Italiana", an extraordinary event organized by the IICCI - The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, dedicated to promoting Italian culture in India and strengthening the ties between our two countries. This week, to make this moment even more special, a delegation led by the Minister of Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, arrived in India on an official visit to strengthen economic and commercial relations. Adding to the atmosphere of friendship, the historic training ship #Vespucci, a symbol of Italian excellence and tradition, docked in Mumbai, setting the backdrop for the beautiful celebration! A key role is played by the President of the Council #Meloni, who is working with Modi to strengthen the commercial relations between the two countries by signing the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029. What do you think Italy and India will achieve in the coming years?

Piyush Goyal

🚨 𝙅𝙐𝙎𝙏 𝙄𝙉: Revolut is gearing up to expand its footprint in India 🇮🇳 with an ambitious plan to offer affordable forex and domestic payment solutions: Having established its presence in India in 2021, the company secured in-principle approval for a Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI) license earlier this year. Revolut is now preparing to launch its services, including wallets that support forex transactions and domestic payments via prepaid cards and UPI, by the second half of 2025. “Our vision is to gradually introduce the full suite of Revolut products to the Indian market, tailoring them to meet the unique needs and context of India. The first significant opportunity we’ve identified lies in the forex space,” said Paroma Chatterjee, CEO of Revolut India, in an interview with Financial Express: https://lnkd.in/d_YtTTep Chatterjee highlighted the company’s significant milestone of receiving the PPI license: “We’re one of only three foreign companies to have been granted this license.” Revolut’s planned entry into the Indian market comes after other global FinTech giants have faced challenges in navigating India’s regulatory landscape. For instance, US-based Stripe entered India in 2016 and received approval for its payment aggregator license earlier this year. However, stricter KYC norms for domestic payment aggregators led Stripe to scale back its services, adopting an invite-only model for new accounts. Stripe later announced plans to build the required infrastructure to support more users in India by the second half of 2025. Now over to you: Do you think Revolut will succeed in India ❓ #neobank #digitalbanking #revolut #banking #bankingindustry #india #fintech #financialtechnology #fintechindustry #fintechnews
