📢 We have signed a strategic agreement with GMR Aero Technic 🙌 We will collaborate with GMR Aero Technic in order to offer heat transfer equipment servicing during Airbus A320 aircraft maintenance checks with the goal to ensure the aircraft performance and airworthiness. ✈️ The agreement represents a significanct step forward in advancing and strengthening MRO capabilities for the Indian aviation sector. Let the construction work begin! 👷 ➡️ At our site in Guaratinguetá, near São Paulo (Brazil), we celebrated this week the ground-breaking for the expansion of our aerospace manufacturing plant. Invited guests, members of the Management as well as employees attended the ceremony. 🙌 In already about two years’ time, high-precision aircraft components made of aluminum and steel will be machined and surface treated on the additional space of 8,000 m². 💪 The new building will help us to cope with the steep production ramp-up that is currently experienced by the aerospace industry. ✈️ #liebherr #liebherrbrasil #solutionprovider #aerospace #groundbreaking

We expand our MRO capabilities for heat transfer equipment in China 🙌 We continue building-up our industrial footprint at our facility Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai for maintenance, repair, overhaul as well as for testing and reconditioning of our OEM heat transfer equipment for commercial aircraft directly on site and close to our customers. ✈️ 👉 What is the best way to make the relevant and required know-how available to our employees? Intensive trainings. For this reason, employees of Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd. joined their colleagues at the Liebherr facility in Singapore where the combined product and process training was conducted by Jay Roberts, process expert at Liebherr’s center of competence for MRO heat transfer equipment in Saline, Michigan (USA). 💪 Based on the close cooperation and exchange between our various locations worldwide, we are thus responding to the increasing demand for MRO services. #liebher #mro #customerservice #aerospace

Happy to share that we successfully completed our Statistical Consulting project on Quote Approval Prediction with Liebherr Aerospace and Transportation! 🚀 For the last three months, Moritz Schlager, Tom Zehle, and I worked as Statistical Consultants for and with Liebherr as part of our master’s program at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. During the project, we analyzed patterns in Liebherr's MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) data. We built prediction models combining advanced Machine Learning techniques, including: 🔖 customized Topic Modeling approaches 🔗 a joint optimization approach unifying feature selection, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning (see image) 🤖 state-of-the-art tabular Machine Learning algorithms 🎯 model calibration techniques 🔍 eXplainable AI methods Our prediction model demonstrated remarkable performance and provided valuable insights, showing the potential to substantially improve Liebherr's repair process.🌟 We would like to thank first and foremost Silvia Burger for the continuous support throughout the project, as well as Thibaut Mielke and Kerstin Duldner for always being eager to share their valuable domain expertise. Thanks also go to our LMU supervisor, Giuseppe Casalicchio, for the constructive feedback and helpful advice. Finally, we are grateful to Liebherr for this opportunity, particularly Stefan Huber, who made this project possible in the first place. We will expand our MRO capabilities in the Middle East 📢 Together with Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), the aerospace platform of Dubai dedicated to the advancement of the aviation industry, we signed an agreement for our new Liebherr Service Center at Dubai South. ✈️ The new facility will encompass 2,400 m² and is planned to be put into operation in early 2026. It will cater to the Middle East’s growing demand of aftermarket repair capacity for our OEM products that are on board a wide variety of commercial aircraft, business jets and helicopters. The new facility will be an EASA Part 145 certified Service Center with focus on air management systems components repair.
