It’s been a tremendous year at LightOn, here is a quick wrap-up of 2024 1️⃣ We doubled in size to about 40. 2️⃣ Organized a Go-To-Market in France and beyond with new partners Orange Business, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and more recently Gcore 3️⃣ Launched new features in Paradigm that include retrieval augmented generation from company documents, workspaces, agents, and more... 4️⃣ Built and released new cutting-edge foundational models, datasets and tools: Mambaoutai, Pylate, Ducksearch, MonoQwen and a week ago ModernBERT 5️⃣ We became a publicly traded company on Euronext Growth

Today, LightOn releases ModernBERT, a SOTA model for retrieval and classification. The FineWeb-2 study evaluated the quality of various pre-training datasets for the Arabic language. It's great to see that our work on ArabicWeb is competitive with the state of the art.
