[WARGAME]💪 Between 4 and 7 Nov 24, the NATO Space COE proudly joined the SENTINEL VANGUARD 2044 #wargame at NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) HQ in Norfolk, Virginia. 🌐This cutting-edge, multi-domain exercise united top experts from across NATO’s organisations and nations to critically analyse future force capability assumptions.💢 ➡️The Space COE was honored to contribute to this forward-thinking and expertly-organised event, offering insights into future capability options and innovative ways to harness the full potential of the #Space Domain.🛰️ #WeAreNATO

[EVENT] 📌 From the 18th to the 19th of November, the NATO Space Centre of Excellence hosted its 5th Steering Committee, bringing together representatives from the 15 sponsoring nations. The discussions were highly productive and highlighted the significant progress made by the Centre as it continues its ramp-up phase. This meeting was a valuable opportunity to align efforts, share perspectives, and strengthen the collective commitment to advancing NATO’s capabilities in the space domain. Representatives from NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT), Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and USA participated as observers as well. A big thank you to all participants for their constructive contributions and for driving forward our shared mission. CDCC Wargame The MDO-CDCC (Cross-Domain Command Concept) Wargame was part of NATO’s SHINE Innovation Continuum 2024, hosted by the NATO STO-CMRE - Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation in La Spezia, Italy. The Wargame focused on the implications of decision-making in MDO. Future CDC will need to focus on decision-making in the face of the changes in the operating environment and the expanding influence space. This concept envisions the most effective decision-making possible for complex, dynamic, and contested conditions with an emphasis on multi-domain decision-making processes through information sharing, collaboration and empowerment that suits the conditions. CDC will enhance decision making and establish a conceptual framework for informed, faster, and better decisions. . The Wargame focused on the implications of decision-making in MDO. [MEETING]🤝 The NATO Space COE contributed to the 26th NATO BiSC Space Working Group meeting, at the Hague, Netherlands between 04th-07th November. 🌐All NATO Space stakeholders, as well as most of Allied Nations participated, making an update on the way #NATO is implementing #Space.🛰 💢The NATO Space COE is already involved in crucial Space topics for the Alliance, through three of its pillars : ➡️Concept-Development-Experimentation; ➡️Doctrine and Standardization; ➡️Education and Training. #WeAreNATO NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT)

[NETWORK]🌐 Last week, the NATO Space COE attended the annual NATO International Concept Development and Experimentation Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania. ➡️Gathering military leaders, industry experts and academics to advance NATO’s approach to Multi-Domain Operations, the 2024 conference focused on the integration of military and non-military actors and included insightful keynote speeches, thought-provoking panels and hand-on workshops.🎯 💢We were particularly pleased to contribute to dynamic workshop discussions around modelling and simulation and experimentation within exercises, all in support of strategic advantage and #NATO’s 2030 agenda!📅 #WeAeNATO NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) 

[EXERCISE]💪 📍Stavanger, Norway / Naples, Italy : The NATO Space COE participated in the Steadfast Duel 2024 Exercise between the 15th and 31th Octobre! ➡️Three of our staff members acted as Space OPFOR (incarnating the "Murinus Space forces" opposing NATO) in the NATO Joint Warfare Centre while a fourth member was Evaluator for #Space within the JFC-Naples, the main training audience.🔍 🎯The aim of the Exercise is to train the operational and strategic levels of the NATO capabilities in a multi-domain environment.🛰Space as the newest operational domain is definitively attracting some attention and our staff members participated to its smooth integration.💢 #WeAreNATO #STDU24 NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE)

[EVENT]📌 The NATO Space COE was honored to participate in the 6th Mountain Warfare Congress, held last week with the theme ‘Mountain Warfare 2040.’ 💢Our focus was to underscore the essential role of #Space capabilities in enhancing mountain warfare strategies. 📣Lieutenant Colonel Andrea Console, Chief of Staff of the NATO Space COE, took the stage to share valuable insights on the synergies between Space and mountain operations. ➡️He emphasized how these connections can be effectively leveraged by the Alliance to advance multi-domain operations! #WeAreNATO Nato Mountain Warfare centre Of Excellence NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT)

[PANEL]📣 From the 30 to 31 of October the NATO Space COE Director, Colonel Sylvain DEBARRE, was speaker during the XXXIII International Seminar hosted by the Spanish Air and Space Force in Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸 dealing with “Space as an operational domain”.🛰 🌐This event gathered several key #Space Military leaders, including former SACT, General Philippe Lavigne. ➡️During the panel “The Space from the perspective of the Security and Defense International Organizations”: Col Debarre presented the NATO Space COE and highlighted the necessity to develop interoperability in Space!💢 NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Ejército del Aire y del Espacio
