🇪🇺 We are delighted to announce that newcleo’s Lead-cooled Fast Reactor (LFR) technology has been selected by the European Industrial Alliance on Small Modular Reactors!   ⚛️ The endorsement is a resounding recognition of the role our LFR could play in the delivery of a new European energy mix means we will form a Project-Based Working Group (PWG) within the Alliance. 🤝 As a supported technology, our PWG will benefit from working closely with the array of the Alliance’s Technical Working Groups including those on Skills, Fuel, R&D, Supply Chain, and Financing. 🇮🇹 Yesterday, our CEO Stefano Buono and our Co-Founder and COO Elisabeth Rizzotti attended the 6th edition of iWeek titled “Dalla formazione all’industria, la ripartenza del nucleare in Italia”, as Gold Partners of the event. ⚛️ During his speech, Stefano had the honour of introducing “newcleabile”, newcleo's new trademark. “Newcleabile energy” will be used to refer to all needs that can be met by nuclear power. 💡Our CEO also had the opportunity to present newcleo's vision and commitment to educating and encouraging young people, given the exponential development expected soon within the nuclear sector. 🇧🇪 Yesterday, newcleo CEO Stefano Buono was a panellist at the “Together Towards New Nuclear” conference, hosted by the Belgian Nuclear Forum and KPMG Belgium. See below Stefano’s key takeaways: 💬 “Why did we choose the challenge of a new technology? I believe we have to deliver a nuclear that is competitive in price and also in performance vs the industry that needs to be decarbonised. Because indeed small nuclear should try to replace gas turbines, for example, the use that the industry makes of energy through fossil fuels because it’s inexpensive. Oggi il nostro CEO Stefano Buono ha partecipato al XXIV Convegno Nazionale Giovani Imprenditori Edili, organizzato da Ance Giovani a Roma. 📣 Durante l’evento, il Ministro delle Imprese e del Made in Italy Adolfo Urso ha sottolineato il grande potenziale dell’Italia nell’adozione degli SMR (Small Modular Reactors), una tecnologia che può trasformare il futuro energetico del Paese.
