You missed the conversation ? Watch the replay ! Thank you Capucine Cogne for sharing how our space made you feel. Replay: https://lnkd.in/eHWQc-iq
Closing the Care Gap ✨ In my little bubble of the internet, it's something we speak about lots. But Ninti & Hormonally's event on Monday was fabulous. I left with many more thoughts on the topic! The conversation revolved around understanding the barriers that prevent women from prioritizing their health, with a variety of speakers including: Fatou Wurie, Marina Gerner, PhD, Alycia Williams, and Alyse Lopez-Salm, moderated by Lauren Redfern, with Fatoumata Ly. What did I learn? It might be crazy that I hadn't reflected on this before given my work with Understand Your Cycle and FemTech brands, but Alycia mentioned that women going to the doctor for reproductive and sexual health is inherently, nearly always invasive. We nearly always get something put inside us, but there is no time for consent, small talk, or preparation. It made me think of all the conversations with women who are nervous about pap smears, IUD insertions, or ultrasounds - given what all of these consist of, is it any wonder? Allyship was spoken about, and reframed: what if rather than "allyship", we all learnt to better hold and support each other? What would that look like? Definitely some food for thought. Congratulations Ninti & Hormonally for the fabulous event, and thank you to the speakers for the insights!! ------------ I’m the co-founder of Understand Your Cycle, where we turn taboo women’s health topics into table topics – through our guide, platform, forum, podcast, and more. When I’m not talking about periods and entrepreneurship, I write compelling, savvy copy and content for tech companies – specialising in #ClimateTech and #FemTech. I also build thought leadership content for busy individuals that want a personal brand to boost their business. ✨🇬🇧 International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women Every November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women reminds us of a harsh reality: millions of women around the world suffer from violence that robs them of their safety, dignity, and peace.
