🧠 Why We Focus More and Like Things Better with Emotion! 🧠 Ever wondered why you vividly remember a thrilling concert or the taste of your favorite childhood dish? Or why your passion for something grows when it feels exciting? The secret lies in how your brain works specifically, in the amygdala!🌟 The Brain: A Well Organised Team Think of your brain as a highly efficient processor: • Frontal Lobe: Handles planning and decision making. • Parietal Lobe: Processes touch and spatial awareness. • Occipital Lobe: Decodes visuals (like that stunning sunset). • Temporal Lobe: Stores sounds and memories. Now ask yourself why do you remember some things but forget others? Why are you naturally good at certain tasks but struggle with others? You’ve probably heard phrases like, “You’re not putting your heart into it” or “You need to focus more.” These sayings are spot on. When you emotionally invest in something, you’re tapping into the amygdala, the part of the brain that sparks focus, links memories, and boosts performance. How Emotion Unlocks Your Potential The amygdala triggers other parts of your brain, like the frontal lobe when you need to strategies. But here’s the secret: you can control this superpower through something simple breathing. Think about it: • When you’re scared, your breathing changes. • When you’re excited, it’s different again. This reveals a strong connection between breathing, emotion, and focus. By controlling your breathing, you can train your brain to channel emotions effectively and focus better. A Practical Tip to Start : Spend 10 minutes a day practicing deep breathing, visualization, and relaxation techniques. Studies show that 70–80% of people experience significant improvements in focus and emotional control. Want to learn more about how to master this hidden superpower? #Neuroscience #EmotionalIntelligence #FocusAndPerformance #BrainTraining #AmygdalaMastery

Hello friends, From my experience in extreme sports as a course director and athlete, and now as the founder of my startup Odidact "Monetize your skills" at STATION F , it’s clear to me that startups are the extreme side of entrepreneurship. While the form may differ, the essence is remarkably similar: emotional highs and lows, a race against time, and moments of profound doubt as also time of satisfaction and celebration 🎉 I can definitely see how my background helps in this journey, even though I have much to learn on the technical and academic side. However, I’m learning every day and being at Station F feels like being Neo in The Matrix, acquiring new skills just by plugging in. If anyone is interested in reviewing the first version of a short manual I wrote as Tome One and giving me feedback, I’d really appreciate it! Feel free to send me a PM so I can send it to you.

Meet our intern of the week, Henry Wicklund, from the University of Colorado Boulder! This summer, Henry interned as a Finance intern at the Paris-based startup, Odidact "Monetize your skills", where he was nominated by the startup's CEO, Akim Ladhari Adhari, for his exceptional contributions. One of Henry’s key projects was managing financial spreadsheets, including financial forecasting. His manager, Akim, praised his work, stating that Henry “effortlessly and skillfully managed the entire financial spreadsheets…He suggested ideas with enthusiasm and took on all challenges with confidence.” The team was particularly impressed by his proficiency, as Akim noted that Henry “not only supported the team during the early stages of the startup but also alleviated significant pain points related to financial matters. He made it easy for the team to understand and input data.” Going above and beyond his primary role, Henry also stepped into marketing, helping to create content for the team. Akim shared, “Henry showed particular ease in helping us with the marketing material. He played the role of a traveler, as he is passionate about traveling, which fits perfectly with the persona we look for in Odidact. His recorded presentation of Odidact is of great value to us in this early stage.” Great job on your internship, Henry! Each week, we will highlight our interns and the projects they tackled at their startups this summer.

Interns: Fresh Faces in the Working World! Interns are here to learn and contribute! They're entering a new and challenging environment, and as educators, we know "sens of duty" alone isn't the best motivator. While we can push for performance, the best results come from personal interest and the sense of being useful . By sparking their curiosity and sense of purpose, we provide a truly valuable internship experience. The first impression matters most! It shapes their perception and sets the tone for their learning. Here are some tips to keep in mind: 1. Empowerment, not Control! : Forget about controlling them like kids on what they do and how they manage their hours. Let them create their own objectives and assist them. They will surprise you with fresh perspectives and see things you don't. #Empowerment #FreshPerspectives 2. Passion and no control : Talk about your work with enthusiasm. Your excitement will inspire them. #PassionateWork #Inspiration 3. Be Patient : Let them come to you when they do offer guidance. Let them take ownership of their learning. #Patience #LearningOwnership 5. Remember everyone wants to be a hero: The transition from student sicking a hero to working professional becoming a hero is a big one. Help them see the value they bring. #HeroIntern #ValueThem 6. Empower them : Let them know they can make a difference. #EmpowermentMatters Trust them to rise to the challenge. They are valuable team members, and you believe in their potential. #TrustTheTeam #BelieveInPotential Seeing this firsthand is incredibly rewarding. I was so impressed by Samantha Kinoshita stepping outside her comfort zone to present Odidact in front of a camera. And Henry's eagerness to improve his communication skills was inspiring. Thank you to Studio Urban 🎥 Urbain and Michel Neveu 💸 for always supporting Odidact "Monetize your skills" project. Katherine Nevils and Sage Corps are doing a great job facilitating opportunities for American students to come to Paris and experience the startup environment STATION F; learning through travel is indeed the greatest school of life.

I recently had the chance to see another presentation by Jeremy Navon After a year in the French startup ecosystem, I believe he is one of the best entertainers 🎤with a great English and French expression. I love how he keeps the audience engaged with the speaker, encourages debate 🗣️, and the expression of disagreement 💬. This spark creates a fire of passion and enthusiasm 🔥 in the debate. I am still new to start ups my expertise is in pushing limits and boundaries and I belive France needs more of this to build the soul of a French startup culture 🇫🇷, as much as it needs the billions of dollars in investment💵 #frenchtech #startupfrance #ai
