💡In OECD - OCDE countries such as Czechia, France, and the Slovak Republic, nearly 9 out of 10 municipalities have fewer than 2 000 inhabitants. 🌍 In contrast, small municipalities make up less than 1% in countries like Costa Rica, Ireland, Korea, and Latvia. ⚖️ These differences impact how infrastructure and services are provided and can make it harder to deliver efficient and equitable services and infrastructure, especially for smaller areas that lack economies of scale. 🔍 The 2024 edition of the OECD - OCDE 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 provides a complete dataset for 38 OECD - OCDE countries. The Database provides unique, comparable data on municipal structures, socio-economic conditions, and public finances.
