This is what your plate would look like if pollinators went extinct. 🐝❌ While reality is more nuanced, the concept is clear. According to IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services), 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟳𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱'𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for yield and/or quality, representing 35% of global food production. And that's not all - nearly 90% of wild flowering plants rely on animal pollination for reproduction, making pollinators crucial for maintaining biodiversity. Indeed, most pollinators, including honey bees, face multiple challenges: intensification of monocultures, habitat degradation, and life cycle disruptions, leading to concerning mortality rates. Climate change further complicates this already critical situation. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 - to help preserve the tiny workers that keep our plates full and colorful. 🍽️

☝️ Did you know that a beehive contains about 50,000 bees, of which approximately 95% are female?
