Christian Dior described himself as a fashion and perfume designer. The House of Dior, founded in 1946, changed the face of style forever when its New Look was unveiled in the halls of 30 Avenue Montaigne on February 12th, 1947. The revolutionary look was accompanied by a fragrance, Miss Dior. This timeless perfume was the first fragrance created by a visionary brand which invented the concept of global beauty.     At Parfums Christian Dior, we celebrate Saint Catherine. As it is tradition in the world of Parisian couture, Christian Dior loved to celebrate Saint Catherine, patron saint of dressmakers, milliners and protector of young women. On November 25th, 63 young employees gathered for an exceptional day out. For the occasion, our 2024 promotion took part in a private visit of the Dior Gallery in Paris. They had the chance to meet and interact with Stephen Jones, Christian Dior Couture Modiste, and could then enjoy a lunch experience at the mythic Hotel Plaza Athénée, whose history is very close to our Maison.   "Nothing prevents youth from being frivolous and having fun", said Monsieur Dior.  Thank you to all our Catherinettes & Nicolas for making this day a memorable one in our House's history, and for carrying on the tradition. ©Patrice Lariven #DiorBeauty

    At Parfums Christian Dior, we cultivate triumphant inclusivity.  As the employment of people with disabilities is at the heart of our commitments, it is always a source of pride to witness the engagement of our teams throughout the year, especially during European Disability Employment Week 2024 which ends today.  One of the highlights of the week took place yesterday, on November 21st, with the #Duoday.  We were happy to welcome 100 trainees in our boutiques, headquarters in Paris and in our production sites in Saint-Jean de Braye and Chartres. They had the opportunity to discover the many facets and métiers of the House.  The principle of the Duoday:  a company, local authority or an association welcomes a disabled person to work with a volunteer professional. The program of the day includes job discovery, active participation and immersion in the company, and it is an opportunity for people to meet, challenge their assumptions, and together, overcome their prejudices. Located at 109 Greene Street, it is a stone’s throw from existing the Christian Dior Couture boutique, offering clients an entire access to Dior universe. Store Manager Tashana Tait shares, "It’s a realization that dreams do come true. My vision for the SoHo boutique is to keep Christian Dior's legacy top of mind for everyone who enters, through storytelling and an atmosphere where luxury promises happiness."     At Parfums Christian Dior, we are committed to nurturing talents and to provide opportunities to early career professionals. In this spirit, we are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration of the Italian subsidiary with the iconic Istituto Marangoni Milano. During the kick-off on October 17th, a group of 13 international students from the Master’s Programme in Marketing and Communication Management for Fragrances & Cosmetics, had the opportunity to visit the LVMH offices in Milan and immerse themselves in the world of Dior beauty. They could merge their creativity with the brand’s passion, expertise, know-how and spirit of luxury. They were given the chance to work in groups and develop a project for the Parfums Christian Dior Italian branch, focused on the make-up category. During the final delivery students will present their projects to a jury of Dior’s professionals. A warm thank you to all the people involved from Istituto Marangoni Milano, Parfums Christian Dior Italy and to all the students taking part in the project. They made this encounter extraordinary and gave our Italian team the opportunity to exchange moments of knowledge and inspiration. Last week, the Maison invited the students of emLyon’s Msc in Luxury Management & Marketing program to our headquarters, where they spent the morning discovering the history and heritage of the House of Dior. Emlyon alumni Estelle de Panafieu, Head of Private Clients Experience, Natalia Wolowska, Global Head of E-Commerce Brand Experience, and Eglantine Reye, Europe E-Commerce Manager, participated in a panel moderated by Sadie Nachtigal, Global Employer Brand and Early Careers Manager, sharing insights on their career paths, the luxury beauty industry, and their advice for students beginning a career in luxury. Following an engaging question and answer session, the morning concluded with a networking breakfast. Since 2001, belle & bien has supported women with cancer by offering them onco-aesthetic treatments, boosting their self-esteem through educational workshops to learn self-care and self-make-up techniques. Parfums Christian Dior has been a partner of Belle & Bien for over 18 years, carrying on the mission of Monsieur Dior to make women not only more beautiful but happier. Every year, we support the work of Belle & Bien by donating products and sharing our expertise. This October, beneficiaries of the association were welcomed at our iconic address, 30 avenue Montaigne, taking part in a made-to-measure beauty & well-being workshop with our team of beauty experts, rediscovering the pleasures of a skincare and make-up routine. Following the workshop, participants ended the day with a tour of Galerie Dior to learn more about the history of Christian Dior and to further immerse themselves in the heritage of our House.
